No wild life, birds, insects, anything in this...
It’s just strange that you don’t even see birds which in any city they are everywhere or any wild life in desert.

I don’t even think the eco system could exist without birds

I was expecting the insect population to go wild and see a lot of rats because of the trash and dead bodies.
Well, i guess this dystopia has supet exterminators:)

they exterminated the birds, there are notes in the game about it.

story lore says, Night City had to kill off living creatures because of some disease spread.
But i think its an excuse to not put animals. Because putting animals would create even more bugs, raindeer running around Jig Jig street
This is correct. The issue was artifical and natural diseases capable of cross species transfer had resulted in the essentially sterilization of cities. It is why dog licenses are so expensive and fines of owning without license so huge.
thats dumb its the future they could easily make cures for anything, id imagine cancer and aids is totally cured in 2077

In game, the news anchor states that MS is incurable currently.

Also, it is up to the game's writers/creators to state what is and is not possible in the game they are making, not you.

For example - the movie Elysium - the technology to cure literally anything exists, but part of the point of the plot is that this amazing tech is hoarded and not shared, meaning that it is deprived from those who need it.

remember when they were like "oh ♥♥♥♥ it's a cat, how weird for there to be a cat in the city"

this implies that not only are cats scarce, but even the strays, meaning there is nothing for them to feed on, no mice, not enough leftover from humans. Society AND the ecosystems have collapsed, even those under the surface of the city. One of the things that makes a dystopian setting a bit of a copout until the give us the reasons why and build on it, which I think they did ok. It just makes sense, and they filled the world with enough other things, albeit bugged to hell.

If you decide to Join Takamura in scouting the Arasaka base that you break into to install the virus onto the float. A cat will appear during this conversation.

Takamura will mention that it's the first animal he's seen in this city that isn't a Cockroach. But also say that he thinks it might be a sprit. And start a conversation about the dead. Where he's from. And how he got to be where he was.

Johnny will hang around but not say anything. Once he fades away. The cat will jump away as well.

Yeah and in the 80s we thought 2020 would have flying cars and hoverboards.

Conveniently so they dont need to put any of them ingame :) I dont need pets ingame but some strays here and were would liven up the game in slums or somewhere.

They talk it in one of those reading shards... they kill them all inside the city and surroundings.

how convenient

Yes, how convenient that the 33 year old IP killed off all the animals so that CDPR wouldn't have to deal with it :cleandino:
