The attention to detail in this game is insane.
On my second playthrough, I started noticing details that many of us might miss the first time around and even take for granted.

Here's just a short list:

- When you first enter Lizzie's Bar to meet Evie, you'll see her and Judy drinking at the counter. When V asks the bartender about Evelyn, Judy will slightly flinch, look at you and then quickly glance back at Ev with a worried look. She finishes her drink and walks away. This really shows Judy cares about her, but also knows she can handle herself and her business.

- After Panam gets wounded during the mission with V, she'll carry scars on her hip (where she got hit) for the remainder of the game.

- Purely looking at the characters' facial expressions will give away their true emotions and intentions. Oftentimes you can tell whether they're lying or not by just looking at their faces carefully.

- Judy and Jackie will twitch their legs up and down as an indicator that they're feeling bored/anxious in certain scenes.

- The dashboards of vehicles carry a great amount of information and detail. (Current radio station, time, speed etc.)

- When you take the time to inspect a character, you'll start to notice how humanlike they are. From veins, pores to arm hairs. A great example is Panam's former nose piercing scar on her nose.

- V's apartment has a habit of upgrading itself with little items from time to time, depending on which quests you have finished. (Dreamcatcher from Misty, posters after certain missions, Judy's diving gear etc.)

- When you first go to the Afterlife to meet Dex, you'll find Panam and Nash discussing job-related details.

- Jackie does your job descriptions up until you meet Johnny, then after that, it's only him.

- When you call someone on your phone, and you visit the person while on a call, you'll see that character actually holding the phone and talking.

- Reading emails on the laptops during missions/gigs will often give you alternative dialogue options you otherwise wouldn't have the access to.

- During one of Judy's quests, where she and V pay Maiko a visit in her office, you will find a mail on her computer that reads "Do Not Delete", which contains a picture of (her ex) Judy. This implies that at one point, Judy meant a lot to her and perhaps still does.

- In the same fashion, snooping around on Judy's PC, you'll read exchanges between her and Maiko, further clarifying their relationship. Also, you'll get some background on one of Judy's tattoos (the firetruck).

- After the parade mission, there'll be a news anchor going live, covering the events that have just happened.

- The amount of Streed Cred you possess will give you the ability to alter some outcomes of certain side quests.

- During "Pyramid Song" Judy hums the score, which later on plays during the romance scene.

- Skippy the Gun also hums a song: Disturbia by Rihanna.

- Young Rogue and Judy share the same tank-top. However, I'm not sure if there's any correlation. That same tank-top can be bought and worn by V.

- Many, many more amazing details.

True, true.....some of the bugs really must have been sought for, otherwise they just couldn't have been there

It is called civility and etiquite. "Those people are wanting a nice convo? Well I am more important! Hear me and screw you!"

I dont care that your family is walking down the sidewalk, you guys get outta my way cause is a public sidewalk.

What is the world coming to that basic decency is shrugged off because "its a forum"

Again, do you have any counterpoints to mine? You didn't. Except for expressing displeasure that I mentioned any places where details are lacking.

I also said the following, which you apparently bypass entirely, because I'm not oozing with praise.

"It's a good to great game at times :)

I think the frustrating thing is that while they did nail a lot of great detail as the OP points out, it's almost like they were so focused on the micro details they forgot a lot of QoL and macro details that end up detracting from all the micro ones they did well."

Also, please tell me where I was rude or otherwise inflammatory to anyone here? I wasn't. Nor did I disregard anyone else.

Where in that original post did you see an invitation to argument?

Let's be honest, it's what you're trying to do. Why do there need to be "counterpoints at all here?"

Even being polite, you can't see that you're trying to inject your displeasure by hijacking a thread? There's a metric assload of threads saying what's wrong with the game, but do you see these "let's point out the positives" trying to insert themselves?

It's selfish on your part, and disrupts what most people are reading this thread for. Remember? Interesting details?

Sure the game's got problems. This isn't the thread for that, is it?

Did anyone else spot the Airplane nod!? The first ripperdoc V goes to is called Viktor Vektor. I think this comes from the early radio conversation in Airplane:

"What's our vector Victor?"

I thought it was a nod to the "Victor Vector & Yondo" adventure games from the early 90s.

It isnt about counterpoints.

Thread topic is about attention to detail. Thread original post is about all the nice details that the game has. OP made comment that just wanted to chat all the nice details people find in game as a positive and constructive thread.

You brought death metal to a Jazz festival and arguing it is okay? I mean, why argue it at all? Why can you not offer the slightest bit of respect for another person and what they would like to discuss?

It is true. Video games ruined society.

We are hear to chat jazz, but that isnt important, you just want everybody to hear your metal preference that isnt the topic or spirit of the discussion.

I am amazed I never caught the victor vector naming XD

I have also noticed quite a lot of attention to detail.

Still some serious issues, of course, but lots of impressive work here.

Don't let this distract you from thefact that this game has only 1 type of side quest, go there and kill everything that moves. Also, your"choices" have no consequences.

Not even close to being true.

I like when people on street stuck a can of soda up their own asses at vending machines. That detail in particular made the game totaly imersive because that must be something that people will do in 2077.

Mmm, could be, they both make sense.

Not even close to being true.

There is one mission when an NPC from early has you do a mission. Interesting the different responses and dialog depending on choices you do with said item and a certain person in building with said item.

Plus the tarot cards having some importance in their location is a nice touch too. I should look up card meaning to really understand.

True the facial animation is decent.

- After Panam gets wounded during the mission with V, she'll carry scars on her hip (where she got hit) for the remainder of the game.

I’m surprised you noticed that.

- Purely looking at the characters' facial expressions will give away their true emotions and intentions. Oftentimes you can tell whether they're lying or not by just looking at their faces carefully.

Really. True the facial animations are decent.

- Judy and Jackie will twitch their legs up and down as an indicator that they're feeling bored/anxious in certain scenes.

True they have some idiosyncrasies. Not quite a 1000 npcs with unique behavior but not bad for the main cast.

- The dashboards of vehicles carry a great amount of information and detail. (Current radio station, time, speed etc.)

Which vehicles? Certainly not all of them.

- When you take the time to inspect a character, you'll start to notice how humanlike they are. From veins, pores to arm hairs. A great example is Panam's former nose piercing scar on her nose.

The main cast are pretty interesting to look at. I would hope they’re humanlike lol

- V's apartment has a habit of upgrading itself with little items from time to time, depending on which quests you have finished. (Dreamcatcher from Misty, posters after certain missions, Judy's diving gear etc.)

Ah, what a disappointment customization of the apartment ended up being.

- When you first go to the Afterlife to meet Dex, you'll find Panam and Nash discussing job-related details.

Why is this impressive?

- Jackie does your job descriptions up until you meet Johnny, then after that, it's only him.

So?

- When you call someone on your phone, and you visit the person while on a call, you'll see that character actually holding the phone and talking.

That is pretty cool. Shame we can’t turn it off.

Eh, for the most part they did a good job with a lot of small details. Shame not all the people working on the game did such a good job.

Well considering it's a post about details... Yes, I responded with my thoughts on the details. I'm sorry you find that offensive. Generally, that's how forums work. Just like I didn't say anything initially to you or the twistedmelon, but you had no problem going on the attack then, right?

As someone else noted, I guess you guys want an echo chamber. You can then give yourself a bunch of hi-fives, self-praise, smack each other on the butt and then feel good about yourself for being "in the know" or something. Not that there isn't a metric ton of those posts and threads out there either, right?

No discussion welcome. Agree with our opinion or else! We only want self-gratifying praise for ourselves, CDPR, and CP2077. God forbid anyone be objective about it.

Good Job Team!

Total crap and you know it.

I'm the first to point out where the bugs I'm finding are, IN THE APPROPRIATE THREAD.

If you can't see the difference, that's on you. It's not an echo chamber, but a thread where we're trying to share cool details we discovered, and we're not falling for your missionary BS. No converts. Why would you think otherwise.

I'd say it's exactly the opposite. If you don't dislike this game like we do we'll hijack and scream as loudly as possible. No where was there an invitation for argumentation. You just couldn't help yourself.

Cause we werent looking for a discussion. We wanted an echo chamber to share and discuss all the little details we find cause we all like the little details to share what we find.

When I take my bike to a motorcycle show, it is to chat motorcycles. It isnt to hear "Hondas suck, get a Harley." It is to check out what others got. Is why we commented to keep it from becoming another debate thread. It is to share the "Hey! Did you guys see xx at yy location time?"

Back on topic. Skybox is correct for star map. I need to head out to badlands and actually see if the stars correctly move across sky.

Gotcha.

You resulted to:
-crap
-missionary BS
-hijacking and screaming loudly

So basically just using name calling, etc. to try and discredit my post. Also, I didn't point out any bugs.

Go back and read the OP. There was no invitation for anything. The OP simply listed details.

I'm sorry you and Twisted found my post offensive and then felt the need to respond to me - and that you did so in a hostile way, that necessitated a response.

Maybe if you don't agree with a post, you should just ignore it entirely? After all, that's what you are saying I should have done with the OP to begin with, right?
