Yeah, that's the point. It's more for the story, lore and information. I don't expect it to be something as in-depth as L.A. Noire, which is solely revolving around something such as that. Would be nice if they did add a bit more depth and challenge, but I don't expect them to, because that isn't one of the main elements for this game.
Braindance is puzzle/adventure feature added to this action rpg game.
If you like puzzle type features then go buy proper game. Braindance editor = Braindead editor. No brains required.
Because you cant skip it after second playtrough. And first playtrough it was boring, no thoughts required.
The concept is well executed in this game - anthony harris's (the Pied Piper criminal) memories are unsettling.
So... braindance isn't the issue. Your annoyance with a game mechanic not being skippable, because you chose to play the game over is.
That is the second dumbest thing I've heard all day.
You are fine if I can skip dialogues faster so I can focus more on action combat/different build but you are not fine if I want to skip braindead editor? Okay
Im on my 3rd playtrough, do you really think I care about dialogues at this point of game? Most have already quit game, I play it to try different build.
And they copied the principle from Detroit became Humen
I did like that in dialog, and character animations it's shown that it's not just an audio/visual experience, but rather an entire sensory package.
short answer:
NO

Is it that unreasonable to expect for an RPG to have replayability? Admittedly, this one doesn't have any replayability, but it seems a pretty common thing among most RPG's out there.
A lot of games take this into account by either having a short intro scene, or skippable cutscenes, or even throwing down a save and giving you a final option to change your characteristics at the end of the tutorial.
Instead, this one turned the cutscenes into incredibly boring content that you have to play through even on your first playthrough, and gave zero thought as to how people would feel doing it again on their second playthrough
