Most NPCs' mouths do not move when they are speaking. Is it just me?
I love the game so far, warts and all, but one of my personal pet peeves in this game is the fact that most NPCs (the random ones sprinkled randomly throughout Night City) do not have any sort of mouth-movement when they are speaking. I have yet to see one critique of this fact from any of the 'Cyberpunk naysayers' out there. To many, this could be a minor flaw, but it just bothers me to no end when it's so hard to ignore. At first, I questioned whether the NPC I THOUGHT was speaking was actually speaking (as if the voice I was hearing may have been coming from another nearby NPC). Nope...not the case. I'm patient, so many of the existing bugs that'll be addressed by the devs don't really bother me a whole lot (I'm enjoying Cyberpunk 2077 a lot). I just hope they also fix the mouths of speaking NPCs so that they move. As it stands now, it feels like I'm playing Morrowwind or something in this regard. Sheesh!

No it's not just you, a lot of NPCs do that.

yes I noticed this and I remember seeing a video about how they spent a lot of time perfecting the lip sync... Just another LIE. :)

Disclaimer, this is a work in progress

Well hopefully...this "minor annoyance" will be addressed in addition to the number of other important fixes on the horizon.

At any rate...for people that would think my original post above is too petty, you're certainly entitled to that fair notion. But what gets my goat is that it's 2020, and since it's been done so well in games that've been released in years past, it's a standard now to have all speaking NPCs move their daggum mouths! So to witness regression of this standard in a game like the almighty, undercooked, and too-hyped Cyberpunk 2077 that JUST released, it's disheartening that fundamental standards of polish have so disappeared like a fart in the wind...and that's my gripe, because it's 'big picture' stuff in industry-standards at this point.

I'm not expecting a miracle with the hotfix coming in January, but I am hoping that CDPR have learned from CP2077's shaky launch and are logistically adjusting their sails to make CP2077 what it should have been at launch...even if it takes a while. If they do that...for me, I'll be pumped for the experience.
