Is it possible to do non-lethal stealth?
The whole way through the game. The reason I'm asking is because I've seen reviews where they show chase sequences where it seems you have no choice but to play the game like a shooter?

You can make guns non lethal.

You can get mods that make your weapons non lethal so it is possible.

YES. You can 100% play the entire game without killing anyone. You just have to prep for it specifically.

For Melee: Do non-lethal stealth grabs. Increase your stealth to avoid detection, run and slide, and sneak, and you can go through every single mission with Jackie without ever killing a single enemy.

For ranged: Get the non-lethal weapon mods, use flash-bang grenades to stun enemies, etc. A power weapon like a sniper rifle, set to non-lethal, can punch through walls and KO an enemy with a single head shot. But any weapon will do, provided you change it to non-lethal damage.

You'll have to work harder for KO's, but spend your perk points to increase critical damage percentages as well as stun effects, and you can rock both melee and ranged

yup get either pax mod for your weapons or go with fists maybe use elemental damage or just stealth it no need to go in guns blazing. Also hacking and there is occular mod that makes your weapons non lethal at the cost of headshot multiplier

There's a particular immersion breaking bug that's related to pacifist gameplay: When you move around downed enemies and drop them on the floor, sometimes the body would just explode and counted as kill, reminds me of the Deus Ex glitch.

Annoys me so much especially in one particular sidequest wherein you dont need to kill anyone.

The Nomad prologue forces you into a firefight you can't really avoid where you might die if you do not shoot your attackers. The mission after the prologue also ends with a similar chase. You won't have access to non-lethal guns at that point, hacking might not cut it either, but once you're through the first 2 quests you can focus on non-lethal hacks, weapons and stealth to take care of pretty much everyone else. Finding your way there could be a little trickier if you absolutely want to kill nobody but punching people is non-lethal so you might start as a melee build.

As always, non-lethal stealth means playing on the highest difficulty regardless of settings so it will be tough to meet that challenge on your first run through the game.

There will be a rather large amount of opponents you may not want to be so nice to either, once you know their story.

I've been playing in Stealth and I've noticed a bug, its not very common but it has happened to me 3 or 4 times now.

You take someone down and hide the body then enemies later in the mission (sometimes MUCH later) will randomly spot the bodies you hid through 10 walls and will instant aggro you. Its really annoying.

Yes I do play my first run stealth takedown similar like ghost run on deus ex, no alert no alarm. It just take very long, you need to find the backdoor for most side quest and hacking distract enemies will be your best friend. After you get the hack to make enemy fainted the game become too easy that it become so boring.

"Man, am i glad there was one non evil person around here... though i still have to knock you out so you don't know i'm here, and alert the guards... Hmmm, you seem to have fallen in an uncomfortable position, ill just put you over her....."

That hack shouldn't have been included in the game. I used it a couple of times and then unequipped it as it's game breaking.

I think the whole thing about enemies finding bodies is related to the items they drop.
I'm not 100% sure but whenever I hide a body in a container or behind a wall they'll never go to somehow they're still able to find "a body" which I assume is the weapon / item they drop, like it's a part of their body.
Really strange.
Madkine 27 DIC 2020 a las 2:12 a. m.
Ah, I'm a loot-a-holic, so there's never any loot for them to find either which may explain why I haven't really seen this.
Pizza Basil 27 DIC 2020 a las 2:13 a. m.
Yes but if the weapon does anything other than electric damage they will still die if they have a stat such as bleed or poison so if you take that route don't be surprised if they still die.
Zeria 27 DIC 2020 a las 2:14 a. m.
Sometimes you can't sneak because they stand in a corner and back to the wall, so you go reboot optics then sneak attack, because reboot optic does not trigger an alter. I don't think you can 100% sneak without some amount of cyberware.

If you are ok with cyberware then just use short circuit, the others "non-lethal" such as contagion or overheat may kill your opponents..
