I did everything right, just like a lot of other tutorials, but still claire is killing him... wth

I haven't done it yet but it sounds like you have to talk her out of it as soon as she brings it up. So that's at the end of the previous race. So you have to reload to a previous save and talk her out of her plan early on instead of agreeing to it.

I did, I said to her "I want to win" which is the option agains her plan

one of the qualifying races where you sit down next to her and she tells you about why she really needed you for. You have to tell her that you can't help her and that you're only here for the race. Dialogue choices in the text messages is also key. She will walk away without killing him. Or you can just do what most of us did, kill him get her car and wait for regina to send you a text to purchase sampsons car.

Hard to tell if this is glitched or not knowing this game. Followed the guides I could find telling her i'm here to win and the texts and all that and she still kills them. Hell one guide I found said you can't stop her and at this point that looks like the only true one.

I have saved Sampson but I usually don't bother. It never seemed hard.

I can confirm she still kills Sampson despite her killing him being out of bounds for the dialog selection. Yet another instance of CDPR not getting things right.

You can save Sampson and it is not hard, it is does take more than one conversation though.

Yeap, and you get his car for saving his life as the reward (I think Claire will also give hers to you too? I don't remember), otherwise Claire will just give you that meh vehicle of hers had you went with her revenge.

You can still get his vehicle even if she kills him, It just shows up later for sale from one of the fixers for 75k

I know. But even selecting the right dialog options. You tell her not too. She agrees. Then turns around and shoots him anyways. I was like "WTH? That isn't supposed to happen"

^^^ that video doesn't work anymore, Thier use to be a exploit with that mission where sampson is still alive even after claire shoots him and you get both the beast and sampson's car but doesn't seem to work anymore I only got beast

I don't see what the big deal is. You can still get the car from Regina. It's not even that great anyway.

it's super easy why do you need a video or tutorial, just *ROLEPLAY* an ethical racer V... never answer you'll help her, you're here only to race, we're friends you didn't contract me as a Solo and you're not in any danger... sounds like it could have been an accident, they were friends weren't they? Claire? CLAIRE!

if cater to her rage or bloodlust even one dialog choice, yes, she takes him out and you cannot stop her.

II didn't even know there was a variance... one I did and said no, and she didn't, one I did hell yeah let's zero the corpo piece of scop and we did... never tried to talk her out of it only to have her do it anyway. Only read you people having difficulty getting the outcomes you want.

I promise it's not really hard. I think you took one of the first "yeah ok maybe" options and that's not a good plan with someone intent on murder....

From memory, these are the dialog options you need to pick:

On the Dam after the final qualifier race -

* You sure it was murder?

* My priority is winning.


In the text message before the final race -

* Remember what you promised me.


Durring the final confrontation with Sampson, after the crash -

* Ask every timed question prompt, don't let any of them time out

* Yes Clair you'll let him go.


You have to choose all of these options or it won't work, miss even one and Clair will walk away, change her mind, and then walk back to Sampson and shoot him. Get themn all, and she'll let him live, and you get his car a week's time later.
