night city is the most immersive city In a video game
I know this game gets a lot of hate but I have to say this: Night city feels so authentic. I can just walk around the city ( normal walking pace) and I feel like i am walking in an authentic city. The atmosphere is AMAZING. I am not being sarcastic at all nor am I trolling. I have to give props to CD project red; they created one of the best game cities ever, if not the best. I haven't been this immersed in a city since I played GTA san andreas as a 14 year old and fell in love with Los Santos. Night city oozes with atmosphere. I also like to occasionally silent greet ( pressing f key ) the NPCs walking the streets to hear what random stuff they blurt out.

I do wish they add more content like side games such as pool, darts, gambling, etc but as it is now I still feel like I am walking in an authentic futuristic world. It is far from dead as many people allege.; more interaction with the world and NPCs is needed, but still the city feels so authentic and alive. When i even walk past buildings I can imagine what the non-existent NPCs inside them would be doing. I do not get this feeling or level of immersion with other open world cities, not even GTAV;s Los Santos. I think one of the main things that make the city so immersive is the sounds. The sound engineers did a perfect job.

There are many aspects this game does handle better than GTA5. Some things GTA5 does better.
They're totally different genres. You're essentially saying here that oranges are better than strawberries, because the orange of the oranges are better.
Hes talking immersion. When you go through Los Santos, you can immediately tell when you've gone from an affluent area into the ghettos.
The cars change ( more expensive to cheap hoopties), the people change (in weight, in grammar, in dress), the environment changes (clean and chic to rundown and industrial)
It seems wherever you go in Night City its just all neon signs, and weirdos dressed in multi-colored circus clothes (does anyone wea pants in this game) that are heading to the beach.
That's not fully true. Cars do seem to change based on the area you go to. I've only ever seen caliburns in the city centre. The people do indeed not seem to change all too much, which is a bit sad. The enviroment does change though, depending on where you go. City centre i totally different from Kabuki, which is totally different from the area with the Sixth Street gang, which is different from pacifica, ...

I would agree OP if I wasn't distracted every five minutes by the most random and glitchy stuff, like random citizens disappearing and reappearing or rubbish bags exploding all over the place and killing me or blowing up my vehicle. With TLC and time this game could have the most immersive city in an open world game, but I feel it will need a lot of both.

Even the music is better.

Comes with RTX too, cause people are like "Don't play without RTX, it makes a huge difference!" in minecraft, it certainly does, if you can run the shaders. I wouldn't try it in that map though.

I actually agree. I know that the AI is better in say GTAV but I still find this city feels more immersive. Even with the bugs and glitches.

I don't like the "Head under the desk there's a nuke coming" behavior the AI has. It also lasts too long. It's Night City, they should have thicker skin than that.

Yeah AI reactions could be better...

But when everything is going smoothly, the city feels amazing.
