Progression Shards Question
I picked up some progression shards to gain some extra skill points, are the points granted instantly on pick up or do i have to read them to get the points?

Because i could not find them among the regular shards in my inventory i assume i already got the points but it would be nice to be sure.

Some will install automatically and a notification will appear top middle of your screen. Others will be in your Inventory / Backpack / (everything) filter, where you can scroll through...everything, all those single use items you had no idea you were still carrying around. If there's one (small vertical rectangle thing) to be found there will be the option to use it.

In my experience, as long as that skill is lower than the governing ability score, it will be automatically used when you pick it up. Otherwise, it will appear in your inventory as purple consumable, to be consumed later or sold.
