8 MB save limit - experiences, tips

Soo, as you propably heard, after reaching 8MB save file size, it becomes corrupted forever...
I wonder if some of you experienced this or what exactly could cause it.
After i finished the game like 95% done, my save file size is 5,1MB (fresh profile has like 1MB) and i seriously think it is not possible to reach 8MB by normal playing... change my mind :D

Where can I find the savegame location? I've read online that it can be found under %userprofile%\Saved Games\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077

But my Cyberpunk 2077 folder has 60mb so I don't think this is really it.

Even after dozens of threads about this I've yet to see a single person actually have it happen with even a shred of proof.

If I had know this, I would have deleted the entire game after my first play through. Because now in my 2nd run I did a ton of crafting and it corrupted after lvl 20ish.
Im pretty mad right now because CDPR told me to stop loading saves so often as a solution.

you have to look at each save files, not the entire folder.

That's the correct file path. The 60MB is the size of all your saves. The sav.dat files are the ones to check.

File size, not folder size. Way is correct, that Cyberpunk 2077 folder should contain plenty of other folders, in each there should be some files and the largest one should not have over 8MB.

It absolutely happens, especially if you craft a ton and are a pack rat.

i believe the game gets to big if you have too much in game items, drop and get rid of items that are NO use to you and move on.

If you pickup almost everything like i did and dismantel almost everything you can reduce size by selling off components like 5-10k can reduce a good bit mb

CDPR needs to fix ther game i like the game it is great when it works and i have not been playing it cause i am worried that my save file is going to die cause of it reaching 8mb like i should not have to worry about it untill it is like a billion mb so this should not be an issue they need to get the game fixed and look at the reviews and how mad people are getting cause we payed them are money so we should get a game we can play and have fun with.

plenty of people got pictures and even the devs have said that it can get corrupted. They even made a support page on gog.com about corrupted save files and even talk about save file size limit.

there are plenty of people out there who say it, who tried it and who even tested it and even the devs said there is a save file size limit.
But ofc, just because you haven't happened to you it's not true right?
