Steam Doesn't wanna REFUND CP 2077. *NOW REFUNDED*
I haven't played the game in over a week, and I tried refund it last week.

It was within 14 days, but I had 7 hours, still have 7 hours as I haven't touched it.

Most of it was on Character Creation and trying to fix issues with low fps and crashes, on an RTX 3080..

I don't know what the laws are or what steam is thinking, but I just want a refund for such a buggy mess that wasn't as promised.
--------
*EDIT* I got my Cyberpunk 2077 Copy Refunded even after having 7 hours of Gameplay.

I dont know why during a pandemic they are choosing to screw people when money is tight.

what steam is thinking
Valve is thinking:
"Man, the nerves on this guy! Everybody knows about the 2 hour limit by now but here he is, with 7 hours!". Or something like that.

You knew the limit, you went over it. And for what? The character creation? Even though you knew about the limit? That is on you, my man.

Take that as a lesson.
lesson is don't buy on steam

If money is tight, you shouldn't be buying 60$ games LOL :cozybethesda:

The refund policy has been the same for years.

Lulz.

Uh... you got the achievement for stealing the relic. Means you did far more than just create a character. Means you actually PLAYED up to the point of Jackie getting killed and being able to run around in the game world.

As an experienced gamer as well as someone who has been on Steam for a very long time, you know their refund policy is limited to having 2 hours or less in game.

You also know all the buzz about Cyberpunk glitches, failures and shortcomings. Even non-gamers know how horrible the launch of this game was. It's practically global news these days.

So knowing that millions of people are getting refunds, not playing the game, and otherwise the game is broken for them, you chose to invest more than 2 hours of gameplay. Rather than just play for an hour and get a refund just in case you were worried (cause you could buy it back later down the road), you willingly went over the limit that you agreed to with Steam terms and services.

Sorry to sound harsh, but that's the hard truth of it. Steam is under no obligation to issue a refund. IF they so choose, they can make an exception to their terms and conditions and apply a special refund for CP2077 to all owners. Like maybe say refunds are available for a single week, and only for players who have less than 10 hours of gameplay, but notwithstanding a special exception like that, you as the consumer are responsible.

Who gives a ♥♥♥♥ man.. this game was a straight up cash grab. Big ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ deal, I did that mission too. I streamlined through the missions to that point. Once I started exploring the world I saw what a lifeless, buggy, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up mess it really is. I quit playing after that and I was 4 hours logged. That was after character creation, the sad excuse of an intro for paths that dont make any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difference at all, and doing those few missions. I also spent time trying to tweak the graphical settings so the game didn't run like a pile of ♥♥♥♥ and no matter what I put it on it made no difference. I got denied at 3.5/4 hours, i figured I might as well try and play the game if steam is going to be a bunch of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about it. Long story short i gave up and uninstalled this piece of ♥♥♥♥ from my PC because I don;t feel like wasting any more of my time on it when i already wasted 80 dollars on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cash grab.

well now i want steam to charge u another 60 bucks just for being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiot......

Why would you buy a game without doing research into it first?
I love people who say "You agreed to the ToU"

Its correct, and you guys are totally right. Its something we agreed upon when registering and buying on this platform.

But lets keep in mind two things:

1.I have RTX 2080 SUPER with i9-9900k and 32GB of RAM 3200MHz ... So now ... i should run game just fine? After the prologue the game went full buglord ... Make me reload some missions even 6 times just to ability to finish it and everything. The prologue just nicelly fits up to those 2 hours just nicely.

2.GOG has refunds of WHOLE 14 DAYS ... With no time ammount of the purchase. I mean, Steam does not showing its supperior platform when GOG, main cyberpunk platform have so good costumer friendly refund policy.

So ultimately you are right, OP knew the time barrier and knew the risk no doubts there. Still Valve does not need to be badguy in this situation. They just decide like Sony, its easier to say NO to refunds. Less of a hustle, still does not make it right.

EDIT:I will keep my game, but i perfectly understand how people want to refund it.

Using only reviews to determine whether or not you should buy a game is stupid. If I did that, I never would have purchased Fallout 76, a game that I enjoy.
