What settings are you playing on?

My daughters PC with 9 year old processor, DDR3 ram and a 1650 can play this game at a reasonable 30fps which is more than enough to enjoy it. but it needs medium / high settings.

The only argument where 30 FPS is reasonable is it’s a console game or an RTS.

Sorry. 30 FPS isn’t reasonable and it makes some of us sick. Literally motion sick

Are you are so high on your horse you believe for a SINGLE PLAYER game, that 30FPS on old hardware is "unreasonable"?

Do you moan about TV and Blu ray and DVD movies being unreasonable at 30fps?

Wut?

Have you ever played Skyrim or fallout at 60 vs 144? Course you havent because you never modded it and unlocked the engine to pass the 60 FPS lock

It’s night and day different. And yes I play Skyrim and fallout at 144 FPS

Frame pacing is far more important than frame rate. The reason some people say that low frames cause them discomfort is that, when they experience these frame rates, it's usually due to a game running at a level where the frame rate dips to very low rates. This erratic jump from 60-20fps is what causes the discomfort.

If it were truly frame rate that caused these issues, these people would not be able to watch television or movies without vomiting. Some people like this do exist, but it is due to the camera motion not agreeing with what their inner ear is telling them, leading to vertigo, not the frame rate.

On the other hand, if a game is vsync locked at a rock steady 30 fps, and every frame is paced exactly the same, 30 fps is quite enough for gameplay. Only fast-paced movements show any issues. So 30fps isn't ideal for shooter games or competitive play, but these people who say that it causes them physical discomfort? They don't know what they're talking about.

THIS, I believe. Frame Pacing is more important than raw average frame rate.

Go ahead and block me.

Guess your definition of reasonable and mine are different. 60 FPS lock is reasonable. If your hardware can only do 30 FPS lock. Fine.

I play every game over 100 FPS because my hardware can. And yet here we are, with my hardware going from 30-50.

That isn’t reasonable. Gorsh

Lower your graphics settings to where you can lock the frame rate at 60 fps, then. Your eyes will thank you. What's the use of pretty graphics when every few moments your brain gets stabbed suddenly and has to readjust?

Fps in movies and games is COMPLETLY different thing in movies you just watch film and thats all in videogames you actually have to move your character, shoot, drive etc. which makes things unplayable on 30 fps keep in mind some people can have different perception than yours for me 30 fps makes me genuinely sick that i have to take a break but i see no difference between 60 fps and 120

What I did to maintain 60 FPS is to reduce Ray Tracing from High to Low then set DLSS to Performance and leave all the rest of the settings on Ultra, playing 99% at 60 FPS at 4K resolution.
My specs are: i7-9700K, RTX2080TI, 16 GB RAM.
If you have similar specs or higher maybe this can help you.
