The real reasons why people dislike Cyberpunk
edit: I give up on this post. Getting angry with me because you can't face up to the fact that CDPR let you up slowly for years, building your love for them, before delivering this dumpster fire of a game.
I don't really care what any of you think, I finished the main story and I have concluded that the game is crap. Have a good day.

So you like Cyberpunk? Cool, good for you little consumer.

Here are the facts;

The games marketing and CDPR themselves for years, said that Cyberpunk 2077 was going to be a highly immersive rpg games.

Here are all the things in game that instantly break immersion;

1. Cop ai spawning on top of you

2. Panama treating you like an extremely close friend after a few interactions with her (like wtf, I don't know you, you don't know me, why is V so emotionally invested in Panama wtf?)
3. Cops forget about you the moment you drive in a straight line for 10 seconds.

4. Doesn't matter who you side with or what story options you choose, all gang members from all gangs, including cops themselves, are the same AI and will shoot you if too close to them, even if you're supposed to be friends with one gang after certain story missions.

5. Accidentally brush yourself past one NPC? Every NPC in your view all collectively cower down into a squat and start screaming

6. Try to not hit a pedestrian? This pedestrian will side step like an olympic crab right into your car and give you a wanted level

7. The npc combat ai does a few simple things; they shoot you, they stand still and sometimes they walk around in random places when they can't see you. They also occasionally toss a grenade, even if you're standing in front of them shooting them.

8. The crouch key is the same as skip cutscene, ruining some story scenes and even rendering you permanently crouched down, unable to stand up, during supposedly serious conversations.

9. NPC ai is even worse with driving, oh, you're parked about 5 cm over the curb? Cars will pile up for miles and the NPC's in the cars look emotionless, dead and creepy.

10. You have to keep subtitles on, even if you hate them, because if you disable them, you also miss key information about the story from a person speaking a foreign language. Yes, I watched a Japanese man speak Japanese for 50 seconds before I get the option to respond with voice dialogue "I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HE SAID HOW DO I RESPOND?"

This is a small list out of the many many many gameplay/immersion issues that exist in Cyberpunk 2077. You enjoyed the game? Cool, I enjoyed the linear ass story too.... but stop defending this game, it's the worst launch in recent gaming history. Destiny Vanilla, Anthem, Fallout 76, these launches have nothing on the complete disappointment that Cyberpunk 2077 is... so stop defending it, or companies will start screwing you more.

When a NPC died, I don't care too much because I hardly knew him/her. The choices they gave you during story are Yes or No, I will do it later. To me, the gameplay and the story are mediocre at best.

Who exactly are you talking to? I haven't seen anyone on this board defend the game. I have seen people comment that they are enjoying the game, others anecdotally mention they see minimal bugs, but that's not defending. So what exactly does defending the game look like to you?

Number 2 - Panam after sleeping with her you basically get nothing after that besides a few voicelines, you cant really do anything with her after that

I had a lot of hype about the game and I still have hype because I really wish they solve all the points you have mentioned, mostly the A.I. problem (NPC, pedestrians, police, etc.).
I am playing the game, trying to avoid police because it is completely stupid. Also there is no firefighters, and nobody calls police nor an ambulance never. So, there are many flaws that must be solved and improved. I hope they add more features in the next few months.

And if you believed every marketing exec that had sold you on a game in the past, you should have gotten a clue by now that the real deal NEVER lives up to the Marketing or Media hype.. Maybe a lot of us didn't fall for it, and are just enjoying the game for what it is?

Most all of us think that there are a lot of things that could have been done better, and should be fixed in the future, but most of us don't fall for all the hype, and jump into things with lower expectations.. Key words like "Ground-Breaking, Innovative, Unprecedented" go right up there with trusting Army recruiters... If you fell for them, then that's on you.... learn from your mistakes and move on..

8: I agree this button being the same as skip convo was a bad choice, but you can remap it.

Honestly, I went from hyped a couple years ago to not even wanting to buy it. Outside of all their horrible corporate issues, the game just looks like an unfinished mess compared to something like RDR2.

I do think the AI of the NPCs could use some work, I'm also playing Assassins Creed Origins and the NPCs in that really feel like real people, it you are riding toward them they get out of the way, they notice you, the act like real people, and you can kill them by accident.

Somehow it just seems more real.

I have only encountered 1 bug. But i started playing the game from the version 1.04 & continued with 1.05. NPC AI so far are i encountered felt actually good. IN the sneaking mission, they even found the body ive hidden (not the best hide was). Playing on a normal dificulty, street kid.

Well, I only watched the first two, but thanks for the laughs man. That was a riot. Of course in a real sense it's sad and very unfair to the early purchasers, but wow some of those clips are funny. Still holding off myself, but may buy soon.

Your review means little when you assume everyone has a potato PC, Angry Joe didn't.

'Little consumer'. Many of the threads would hold more weight, if the poster didn't feel the need to put an 'edge' in their point.

In terms of the game' and it's promises vs the end result, it should be pretty obvious to most that,.., It. Was. A. Scam..., unless of course, the studio actually delivers on those promises.
GMe5000 Dec 21, 2020 @ 9:31pm
I think people are just justifying spending the money for this game to themselves. "I am enjoying it"... Ok
