Nope. and no optional objective was ever listed in the two playthroughs/characters i've done the mission on.
Is that the victory condition?
Didn't experience any bugs with it. Don't wanna spoil anything but it worked out the path i chose.
Yeah. I never get an optional objective listed. it has always said "check on barry in a few hours." Absolutely nothing else.
I spoke to them after. where you tell Mendez he's being a ♥♥♥♥ basically.
Then i stayed close to the area, did jobs next to megablock. That way when it says to check on him, i was able to quickly zip over.
I'm thinking there's a bug that it's failing to tell me the optional objective.
again there is choices so it may just be your choice, rather than jumping to conclusion everything is bugged, i'd maybe consider that.
I've googled how the quest is supposed to go, and i'm on my second playthrough of the game.
I'm not jumping to conclustions. I'm simply saying I'M NOT GETTING THIS OPTIONAL OBJECTIVE LISTED in my journal.
it doesn't matter, according to multiple wiki's'/game guides found on google, what dialogue options you pick for him, and you tell the cops Mendez is being too hard on him. Then it simply says "wait a few hours." Nothing else optional. no other objectives listed.
You just didn't realy care enough about him and his story and only hit the "yellow" questions instead of doing some smalltalk with the "blue" questions.
This quest reveals who is realy into roleplaying games and realy use all the talking possibilities instead of just the typical "rush through" gamer who skips most parts, fast forward everything and only hit the yellow sentences (and in the end they cry missions don't have a different outcome).
Devs did a great job with this mission
if its bugged they'll fix it. maybe try report it in a place that isnt a "general chat forum"
So much stuff unlocks with smalltalk but people just dont care about it and only hit the highlighted story stuff
I didn't rush... lol. If i wanted to rush this mission, i wouldn't have even picked it up on my second playthrough. It's not like it gives anything other than money for doing it.
And none of the game guides online say anything about the blue conversation options.
I did, however, assume the yellow conversation options were the only relevant ones. Since that's usually how the game works. You're assuming I didn't care about the mission, or it's narrative. That's false. Hence why i've tried it another time, and why i'm even posting about it.
So you can take that elsewhere. But thanks for the info, i guess?
