Yay for a subtitle glitch

Good lord, I don't understand how people can give the PC version a pass. I've been dealing with glitch after glitch and now I have permanent subtitles from Johnny saying "Ha. House is rakin' it in. Wonder what the boss has to say about it."

This glitch is spanning across all of my saves now. It's not limited to my most recent saved game. I have this going back to way before I did the heist!

I have the same thing. I don't know how to delete it.

my whack ass computer can barely run this at medium settings, and the only issue i've really had is the low framerate and stuttering from, you guessed it, my now low-end PC. i find that hilarious.

sometimes in conversations tho, i'll notice people cutting the other off right at the end of their sentences and i'm honestly not sure if that's intended or not. if it's intended, then that is rude as hell

It's because you did a quest to do with that dudes cybernetic eye before you opened up the game and acquired Johnny, it's a bug relating to that. I had the bug too and it was annoying, I thought it was connected to Afterlife at first.

Fast travel to St Clarendon or whatever (South West of Watson) and the line will update and finish, and the bug will be gone. He's supposed to deliver the line when you walk into the casino cafe thing for the first time, and then deliver the second line when you finish with the quest, but technically he didn't exist when you did it so the game gets stuck. Returning to the general area by fast travelling there fixes it though.

It's just an out-of-progression or whatever bug they never caught, probably because they didn't expect people like us to want to clean the map before doing the story lol.

You need to activate subtitles go back into the game than go back to the options menu and deactivate the subtitles...this fixed the bug for me.

Disable and reanblencinematic sub in the option, had this bug to, THE ENTIRE GAME, till the end.

The only thing I can suggest is turning off the subtitles and turning them back on. Seems to work for a while but every time I load up the game it's the same song and dance.

thanks mate, it fixed it, got so annoying after 30 hours or so...

Just like most bethesda games, I ended up fixing the game and tweaking it to my suiting, although sadly... it seems that the new update broke the game even more for me. For example, my input mod no longer works, seems like I'll have to update it, but I suspect that it have just been overwritten.
