How little thought went into this game. All they could focus on was MORE KICKABLE TRASH ON THE STREETS not "Hey, we either need to be smart enough to implement a flash light or night vision optics OR we need to be smart enough to not put the players in total darkness in a cramped, cluttered space" Unfortunately, they were not smart enough to do either. LowLite is one of the things available for Cyberoptics since the first version of Cyberpunk came out in the 80's but they were not smart enough to add it into this game for areas where even at full gamma you can't see what you are tripping over. They went for flashy lights instead of good game design, If you disagree, please respond so I can ignore it.

3 years on I am having exactly this issue and cannot find an option in the settings to make it brighter.

I'm about as frustrated as the OP.

Apparently I'm stuck under an unpowered grate and have no idea how to change that in the slightest.
