It's also really lame that Panam kind of leads you on, with her flirting and her entire family hinting that there was something between you two, but then if you're a lesbian it ends when you're talking about the future - maybe together.

That's fine if they don't want to make her a lesbian, but give players more than 1 choice. Judy is wonderful to me but I can imagine plenty of people not liking her and, so, being left out of that part of the content.

Wait, hetero characters have 3? Who? Because I'm mainly hearing that it's one romance option each

I've seen some straight dudes be really entitled about romances in other games, for example in bioware fandom I've seen people trot out the tired 'gay people are only 10% of the population so it makes sense that they should get less options, some of their options should instead be used to make more straight options'

The same reason I am playing Female V for Judy. The character is what the writer wrote them to be... Why not play another run and made the appropriate V?

Because not everyone feels comfortable playing as a male. The npcs are not real people, they have no real needs or desires, so it should make no difference what your character's gender is to the game. I agree, this wouldn't make sense if they were real people, but they are not.

She is not straight, she was hitting on my char who is the female V ALL the time. I think it has to do more with conversation choices?

Must be *rolls eyes*. But hey at least your name fits the post.

Enjoy the extreme linearity you've been saddled with.

It's a Farscape reference twit

Then explain all the dudes screaming and demanding that Suvi be made bisexual and Vetra straight after Mass Effect Andromeda was released

Let's be fair. The romance options are more than underwhelming. Both genders with both sexual orientations have only 1.....ONLY 1 option to romance. If they were doing this in such a narrow way, why did they even bother? Why not just completely skip the implementation of romance option?

'cause we will get threads like "omg, no romance, blah blah blah, lets us blah blah blah"

Are you bisexual, please make yourself straight.... same concept right?
Nope, since your parents didn't produce you in an intentional way to who you should sexually be attracted to. (okay maybe your dad would break down in tears if his son turns out to be gay but that's an other story) BTW if you compare the rights of a digital fictional story character to a real person, you should go and see a psyhatrist.

Reference or no, you're still proving my point.

Pretty sure we're discussing Cyberpunk.

According to this list, and some others I've seen, there are 1 gay, 1 lesbian, 2 hetero women, 1 hetero man, and Rogue which can only be romanced by Johnny at some point.

As to the second point, I would stress *some* straight dudes, as there are plenty who are open-minded and find this argument terrible. 'Dragon Age 2' had the right of it - make every romance option available to the PC, regardless of gender. They don't have to be 'bi' but rather, they're whatever sexuality will allow them the pc to romance them. It's rather uncool to limit player access to game content based on their sexual preferences.

Hmm, is there a social justice approved term for "reverse traps"?

I suppose at least we know than Panam thinks traps aren't gay?

That was my thought but every article I've seen and every person I've spoken to assures me that she's only available to a male protagonist. She clearly flirts with you and everything points to her being into a female V but they must have changed it at the last moment - or she's one of those straight people that gets her kicks leading on the gays.

no thanks

In all seriousness there's not 3 romance options. My guess is they are misinformed and then associating the sex encounters with romance options.

Meredith = All players from what I've seen, non romance.
Joytoy = All players, non romance.
Johnny Stuff = non romance, and is just for the Johnny line, so complaining about that being locked is silly.

Otherwise for the "Romance" its just 2 Female, 2 Male, further divided by sexual preference. So 1 choice once you create your character based on sexual preference.

So still a bad design choice, but a different one. Players should have more than 1 choice of romance for their character. What happens if you don't like the person they offer you? You are just cut off from game content due to your sexual preference? Terrible decision by the devs.

If your main concern with a game is who you can ♥♥♥♥? why not find someone in the real world to ♥♥♥♥...?
