NCPD Reported Crime: Dredged Up bug

So the Dredged Up quest is bugging for me. I ended up finding the body and case before the blood trail, so now it's stuck on "Search the body." despite both being looted. Is anyone else experiencing this?

see i had t he opposite problem, i thought it was bugged out because i was so used to those police quests just being kill 5 dudes and pick up a thing, that when it wanted me to do more stuff i was like, wait, what?

i thought it was bugged too but theres blood stains to the right as you go in on the floor.

well this sucks, this was the last reported crime i needed for the achievement :( and i dont think reloading a save that doesnt have (thats like 10 hours back) is gonna log it .

On the opposite side of the building there are a few more thugs. You will find a blood trail. Scan it and follow it. There is message on the computer where the heist is about the one that got away as a hint.

To everyone stuck with the "Search the body" message:

You need to scan EVERY SINGLE BLOOD TRAIL in order to loot the case at the bottom of the canal. This needs to be done BEFORE looting the case! If you loot the case first and scan the blood after, the mission won't recognize that you already looted the case and will bug out.

The majority of the trail is located at the top. There's one in the middle of the stairs and two at the bottom before reaching the case. Don't forget the one right beside the case. Hope this helps.
