Cuz, new game equals not-optimized-for-every-single-person. Somehow some people don't understand that.

+1
hahahahahaha wow
However...
When people say lifeless, they don't mean it's a literal ghost town, they mean it FEELS lifeless. It feels like they didn't spend much time on the city life.
MOST of the time you see bumper to bumper traffic, it's because the AI is being stupid.
There are only so many character models for citizens. When you see a line of 3 of the same exact fat guy, walking the same exact way, but with different shirt and pants... kinda kills immersion.
The pedestrian dialogue repeats anytime you go past scripted pedestrians. The 2 cops talking near your apartment at the food stand have the same exact conversation anytime you go near them.
Personally I hate the driving in this game overall. Bikes handle decently, and it's nice that the E-brake is actually useful. But driving cars feels like I'm playing midnight club, which is the worst driving game in history IMO. Plus there are no vehicle stats, at least none they show you, so I'm not going to waste money on a vehicle that MIGHT be faster instead of getting better cyberware.
I don't know if I would go so far as to call it parkour. It's no mirrors edge. It IS nice that they made it so easy to climb around on stuff. You can get out of any situation by just running or driving away in a straight line. Bad IA.
There are a million doors you'll never be able to open, that's annoying.
But not all bad...
I have found a few iconic weapons, my favorite being the dildo, lol.
The random crimes to stop are nice for the loot and something to do.
I too like the soundtrack for this game.
Overall this game IS great, but there is A LOT of attention to detail they just didn't bother with.
Like when you're talking to someone and their head is facing you and... sorta looking at you... but their body is gesturing and pointing at no one, because you're no longer standing in the place the dialogue started from.
Or when Judy boots up your second BD, asks if you're ready, you say yes, and she "triggers" it while looking you in the eye and never touching a button.
Dumb little things like that bother me, and there's a lot in this game.
Not trying to be argumentative, but saying the city isn't at all lifeless in Cyberpunk is like saying Assassins Creed 1 wasn't repetitive.
The difference is ofc the stupidity of the AI.
When police is standing stil in an investigation scene = can be hit by stray bullets by gangs attacking me. Police dont care even when hit in head so hard their torso bends over for a second while screaming.
Me standing even remotely close = 4 stars that last until I can hide in a simple location for a short while avoiding police spawning inside the wall.
They really need to fix the police. They should respond and arrest other citizens and gangs when they break the same laws you can break. This was even a thing in GTA SAN ANDREAS. Heck in GTA IV you could make police arrest normal civilizans by them attacking you in the sight of police. Heck you could even get two civilians fight eachother. This is a 12 year old game. And police would arrive in cars and not just spawn inside walls or right behind you. If they fixed the police system alone it would heavily improve immersivity. And also add ability for civilians to get angry and allow the police to get angered when spotting others breaking laws. Police should not be able to spawn on the top of a roof you had to spend 15 mins climbing without the aid of a flying vehicle.
Yeah but that's in Fallout 4 as well and most other games. There are limitations to games you know they cant plan for every eventuality. The thing is overall is the game good or not? Anyone can find things to moan about in computer games if they look.
