What settings are you guys using with a GTX 1080TI on 1080p resolution?
Since apparently this GPU is practically midrange now and it can't even begin to run any of the RTX stuff or the game properly on Ultra settings, I guess those Ultra gaming days are over now and we have to optimise our settings to get a good gaming experience here :(

What settings are you playing on to get a decent fps?

i7 9700k & 1080 TI

1080p, max all settings.

Film grain disabled
Depth of field disabled
Motion blur disabled
Screen space reflections on ultra, not psycho

Above 60 FPS for the most part. Dips to 55 during some action sequences.

I have that GPU, and an i7 2600 and I am running the game on the settings it defaulted to on launch, apart from film grain and motion blur, which I dislike anyway. I also reduced cascaded shadows to medium, which doesn't seem to make much difference visually, though I heard it improves performance.

TLDR: I get ~50fps at ultra/high settings on everything except the above stated.

Thanks, gotta optimize since game feels very sluggish on Ultra with 40-50 fps at times :/

im getting 40-50fps with a watercooled overclocked 1080Ti at 3440x1440 with mostly medium settings with a Ryzen 3700x

It's not a particularly fast paced game so the lower FPS doesn't feel particularly bad, but I would definitely prefer a good 10-15 FPS more than I'm getting right now, and the dips to 35 fps in busy markets are the worst part.

Hmm think I'll give this small suggestion a go, it apparently worked wonders for a lot of people : https://steamcommunity.com/app/1091500/discussions/0/2988665684340220156/

I have already applied that, and didn't find it made much difference, for me. Definitely worth a go though...

I also tried but had no impact on my performance :( That's a feelsbad.

Force it to 60 Frames. Disable most of the shadows or tone them down. And other things like clouds, etc. It runs fine with most of those types of tweaks.

GTX 1080ti at 3440x1440:

ulimate = 45 FPS
low = 70 FPS

I don't bother playing on other settings. The game is plenty smooth enough at 45 FPS (I have a gsync monitor) for just walking or driving around, etc.

If there's going to be a flight, I turn it down to low. You're not going to notice detail anyway when you're being shot at and trying to get a headshot in.

I agree, I have never been a slave to fps (usually limit to 60 anyway) and 'low' fps is not noticeable in this game. It has never dropped far enough for me to even know it, let alone consider the game remotely unplayable. It plays smoothly at 45-50.
