Recommended settings for a 2080TI?
Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone is playing with a 2080TI, if so what settings are you using? I’m trying to play about with mine to try and maintain a steady 60fps. My monitor is a 1080p and I’m running an i9 9900k in my rig

Thanks In advance

you should be able to get max psycho settings rt off dlss at quality easily and get 70 fps + you should be able to have some rt as well i would have thought, thats a powerful rig right there.

i would add

https://www.thegamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-fix-pc-gpu-settings/

you could do with a higher res monitor

Hi there, thanks so much for your response, and yeah I thought that my rig should be able to keep a steady 60 FPS at 1080p even in crowded areas, thanks for them links I’m gonna take a look at the GPU/CPU power settings, do you know what it means with the CPU settings when it says use half of your RAM and then leave 4gb for windows? I have 16gb of DDR4 Ram so does that mean put in 8gb? Or does it mean take half and then another 4gb off so it would be 4gb. Many thanks again mate

Im playing with current settings;

All shadows medium, RTX off and i'll get a steady 65-80 fps on 1440p.
I get about the same fps with RTX on and DLSS on quality.

With your specs you should easily get 100 fps on 1080p.

Update: just found that in the config file the game is using memory that is for the next gen consoles, pool CPU 1536mb and GPU 3gb

So I’ve changed the settings in the config file but I’m still getting a lot of FPS drop? Any ideas?

That setting change seems to be a fraud, or at least not working for many.

I have a MSI Gaming Trio 2080ti on a 9900k and I get 45fps constant at ultra @ 3440 x 1440. Even at lower resolutions, I don't see a steady 60fps. The "fix" you noted, has no impact, even when done as adminstrator, etc, etc.

Thanks Glados for the comment, so is it just the game is purely optimised right now? It’s just really annoying as especially that area around toms diner my FPS goes right down into the 40s

I'm running a 2080 ti with an 8700k and I have a constant 60+ FPS with all settings maxed, Raytracing Psycho, DLSS Quality, and resolution at 1440p.

I also have a 2080ti and a 9900k. I run Ultra on every setting, ray tracing Ultra and DLSS Quality and run about 70fps

There must be something I’m doing wrong as I can’t even get a flat 60fps all the way through on 1080p :(

I do have V sync enabled in game, as it play on a 60hz 1080p monitor, do you think it could be something to do with that? I just tired Ray tracing off as well as lower some other graphics and it was a little smoother but really I want to play with Ray tracing on seen as I have bought an RTX ready card

Vsync will lock the FPS to your monitors refresh rate, so it will not go over 60FPS with it on. Make sure to turn DLSS on, it vastly improves frame rate.

Hi Darkslyde, yeah I know what Vsync does I just read somewhere that the ingame V sync wasn’t very good and could affect performance, I have my DLSS on quality I think but doesn’t matter what I do I still can’t keep that steady 60fps without it dipping into the low 50s late 40s in a few areas

If I play on 1920 x 1080 I get 90FPS. It looks pants unless windowed.
1920 x 1440 = 76fps. It looks pants unless windowed.
2560 x 1440 = 58fps.... quite a big drop there.
3440 x 1440 = 45fps with RT @ DLSS quality.
3440 x 1440 with RT, no DLSS = 20-25FPS.
