Elemental Damage/What's best

What elemental damage is best against what, or is the best period? AFAIK the meta seems to be poison for humans and electric for drones and robots. To that extent am I wrong in thinking that poison is better since you seem to fight way more human enemies than robotic ones?

Poison/Thermal/Bleed/Phys is honestly the go to, hell even without using shock against robotic ones they are so scarce that even a few hits from normal sources they still go down without issue.
It is what i personally do as a blade wielder, just slap the robotics until they blow up, easy peasy, the only one that is more annoying is the human/mech hybrid.

Thermal damage from weapons doesn't do that no, it just does additional thermal damage and makes them do the burny dance when they're health hits zero. Not sure about hacks, overheat might do that but I haven't used that quick hack.

Yeah the quick hack makes them unable to do anything, hadn't tried thermal damage outside of the hack though

Shock for non-lethal. Thermal when you want to see the world burn.
