Whats the point in silenced weapons??
You shoot a guy in the head with your silenced weapon, then he spots you and everyone is alerted before the enemy dies. I feel silenced weapons should do a lot more damage from stealth, otherwise there's no point.
So far the best stealth weapon is melee, since its a gurentee take down, it's just dumb that weapons are so bad.

Well, that´s what a RPG does right? It give´s you the Ability to choose where to Level and Set your Attriutes. When you want to play Stealth, then you should start level the needed Attributes for that. :P You get better over time, that´s what you call Challenging in a RPG. If you don´t like it, maybe RPG´s are not your Cup of Tea then?? :P

I have a silenced revolver that has a mod for increased damage when used in stealth. I can one-shot NPCs with it with a careful headshot and the noise, while noticeable to me, doesn't alert the others. Doesn't even alert guys about six feet away. It's actually kinda nice. You could shoot the NPC several times with a silencer, sometimes they die prior to "alerting" the others.

yes I have it attached, the gun shoots silently, and enemies don't hear if I shoot it. They just become alerted when I headshot them, to you know... kill them silently...

Put it on a revolver, put points into cool, and take perk that increases the handgun headshot multiplier. I haven't failed to one shot a stealth kill in ages.

oh I know how an RPG works thanks, but you realize I'm on the heist mission, the only guns you get are from the enemies and they don't even fuction as a stealth weapon.

I have all my points so far in stealth, with more headshot damage from my pistol. Maybe the problem is that I'm on hard mode? could it be that hard mode if just an enemy health buff perhaps?? if so that's lame.

Thanks, I will try this, though ain't got much choice in this mission, as it takes all your weapons away. only weapons I can get are dropped by enemies, not come by a revolver yet.

The difficulty you play on also effects this, I put a lot of points into Reflex/Cool but couldn't one shot enemies on Hard, whereas on Normal I could

i use one on my sniper which one shots pretty much any enemy in the head, within my level of course. find a high damage weapon and put on a decent silencer and it should be good. also try investing in some perks maybe to increase damage from sneaking ect. Should be under the 'Cool' perks.

note - i play the game on normal so yes hard difficulty maybe be a large factor in this which would be a shame

I'm street level 19 and have leveled a bunch of the perks up Cold Blooded and the pistol perks actually make for ridiculous synergy. There's also a perk that offsets 25% of the silencers damage reduction, couple that with head shot bonuses and you got a one shot pop from stealth build.

Silent and deadly in Cool>stealth 25% extra damage with silenced weapons while sneaking.

Assassin in Cool>stealth 15% extra damage to human enemies.

Rio Bravo in Reflexes>handguns Increase headshot multiplier by 10% on pistols and revolers.

These are just some of the many you can add to just one shot dudes left and right with silencers and no one will generally realize you're there.

Thanks, everyone for the tips! I'll keep investing in silenced build options for now then. I really hope it isn't just because I'm on hard difficulty... Can anyone else confirm it's a difficulty setting issue? a least for the main quest heist mission.

I'm playing on hard. You can def one shot from stealth. Remember to upgrade your guns a bit, I had trouble until I stuck with a certain loadout. I know there's a lot of trash guns to pick up but the second you get a gun with a mod slot try to keep it and upgrade it till there's more available. You can add mods to amplify your damage with guns, some guns also have status effects to them. So, look for physical extras for silenced play on hard, it's all about optimizing.

Status effects have a chance to apply, Physical is added to the cumulative effects and are applied outright. So if a gun has 23-35 electrical that's not going to do as well as 25-35 physical.

Play on very hard, it is still possible to one shot enemies with a silencer, just not always. you need your up to date awesome legendary revolver to do it + skilled towards cool and stealth. So that wouldn't work in the mission you are in now. But outside of those missions where you lose your gear, it can be done. Especialy with the higher tier silencers, they give a good multiplier to headshots from stealth.

Theres a perk / mod which increases damage with a silencer

another thing that makes suppressors pointless is that both Judy and Panam can somehow magically hear you, and in Panam's case she will go in guns a'blazin even though no one was alerted (i.e. the mission when you fight Kang Tao at the gas station) the only way i can 100% stealth is by throwing knives and stealth takedowns. whenever Panam starts attacking when i fire a suppressed shot i ask "How the F*** dd you hear that from across the street?"
