Freeing Brick - broken detonator?

Hi all,
Either I'm missing something or the game [1.04] is bugging out again...
I got to the place, where it's possible to free Brick (as an optional objective).
I'm entering his room and he is sitting near the mine.
I can't disarm the mine (tech 6/7), but the detonator is in the next room.
I see a white looking glass icon on the detonator, but that's it. Can't pick it, can't hack it, can't do anything.

So, is it a broken quest, or am I doing something wrong?

i hacked the mine it self. and he was able to be free'd, ive had quest bugs, i just reload my autosave and it works. try that.

I had no problem with using the detonator, I think like he said, try saving and reloading and see if you can grab it

i literally by passed using the detenator all together in my play through

So my Brick just keeps dying. I can't even walk near the rooms or his head blows off. =/ Did I miss something?

In case anyone else has this problem. I had to reload and redo the questline. Then I was able to get into the room with the Detonator. =/

hack the mine, hold tab to scan then choose the option.

Yeah. In my case most of the time I couldn't even step into the hallway leading into the rooms, it'd blow his head off and the few times I did manage to open the door I couldn't get a scan on anything inside the room. I just reloaded and redid things and it sorted itself out.

Tried to reload from 2 different saves - no luck.
And it's pretty far from the next level up... Guess I'll wait for the patch.

Alright, an update. Suddenly it just started to work today. Have no clue what I did differently. Just loaded the same save again (automatic checkpoint before going down the ladder to the room with Militec netrunner), killed everybody, got to the next room (where the door to the room with Brick is), and... saw the golden hand icon on the detonator. It just worked :)

Just hack the mine, Disable / Turn it off or make it friendly.

I didn't even know there was a detonator on my first play through.


Also quiting the game to desktop and reopening tends to fix Alot of issues.
