what do the 3 icons mean at the top of the start menu?
the 3 icons with percentages underneath them in the same menu as map, crafting, inventory

The left one is game completion (main story, side missions, etc). The middle one is your relationship with Johnny (do things he approves of and the number goes up). The right one is how much the Relic has corrupted your systems (every time you glitch, the number goes up.

Samurai logo means your friendship with Johnny you need to keep at least 70% for all endings

The fact that so many responses begin with "I think" or that people are rating responses really says a lot. There should be an official explanation from CDPR

Well if you note dates of posts, most are also early on first day posts and early speculation based on preliminary experiences. Note that the first 3 1/2 pages are all dated Dec 12, with only a 3 day jump to the 15th for the rest of page 4. Then there is a sudden jump on page five with a Dec 31 post.

So the fact behind so many "I think" responses, is a mere logical result of early examinations versus long term trial. Doesn't really say anything, and is just normally how it goes.

Most can now more definitely say that there is no time factor involved, and all have to do with story progression and certain choices and side quests, with a certain minimal in certain categories for certain endings.

its definitely how finished you are with the main story and side main stories. Maybe DLC will continue the ones that cant be 100% if they genuinely cant be as is. With the main quest it stays at 90% til you end the game then of course theres no game plus so you go back to when it was just 90% but technicalyl you finish it

I suspect that the middle and right percentages are increased at specific points of the game via game scripts (i.e. if you choose X dialogue, add 5% to middle percentage), while the left percentage is automatically added to based on how side quests have been completed. It's also possible that the system looks through all the Facts in your save and recalculates them based on what's set to true and false.

The "Secret Ending" is based off a Fact in your save, sq032_johnny_friend, which I assume gets set on a specific dialogue option in a specific conversation. The percentage is irrelevant to that option.

It's possible they originally had some larger purpose (like a time-limit on the main questline), but now they're just there for a bit of flavour.

I really hope mod tools get made soon so we can dig through how it's all put together.
