Settings to lower CPU Usage
My i7 7700k is the bottleneck of my system running at 100% all the time.

What are some settings to reduce only the CPU Usage?

My GTX 1080 has some air to go up so i wont like to change settings that depends on GPU.

Weird. I have a GTX 1080 and an i7 6700 and playing for an hour just now kept my cpu at an average of about 65%. It was far from being 100%.I play at 2560x1080 to get around 60 fps. With my native res of 3440x1440 I got only 25 fps in the first area and no amount of tweaking seemed to improve that.

only crowd density really affects it and lower than high theres a massive reduction in NPCs

r5 2600 is bottlenecking my 3060ti quite alot (GPU usage anywhere from 40% to 90%, fps from 40s to 80s at 1440p ultra dlss quality. so just bought a 3800XT, will install later and see the changes.

one other thing you can try is a higher resolution, I tried this just messing about and using DSR to get 1920p I can get a locked 30, or unlocked 30-40ish and CPU is no longer the bottleneck at such low framerates. only really playable with a controller and motion blur on at that fps though.

Game is alot more CPU demanding when you get past the first hour or two, in the markets and driving around in busy areas is where it hits the CPU.

You also dont need 100% CPU usage for it to be a bottleneck, check your GPU usage and if its not constantly at 95%+ your CPU is holding it back

7700k (@ 5ghz) runs smooth with lower growd density. just dont play on high...

We have a 7700k here, game runs on ultra, nothing changed. Make sure you don't have something clogging the system in the background if you are gettings stuttering or slow downs

Thanks @keelan! I am currently at constant 95-100% gpu usage and around 65% cpu. I expect that to change once I hit the heavily populated areas just like you mentioned.
