I guess it's part of the Cyberpunk culture, but this particular culture grates on me a little.
UnderRail has a whole range of culture and words and each location has different phrases and stuff, like calling people "zoners" and "pipeworkers" etc. Felt really cool and made every major location distinct from each other.
For some reason though Cyberpunk doing that just annoys me lol. I've been trying to filter it out.
EDs, eddies, Euro Dollars, that's about the only bit of slang I feel was actually given any major intelligent thought though lol. It almost feels realistic and believable actually, out of all the slang terms the game throws at you, eddies is definitely the least cringeworthy.

Is there any aspect in which this game doesn't fail abysmally? Uninstalled and sadly I can't get a refund after 10hrs of "seeing if it gets any better". No, it doesn't. When Keanu Reeves made my character take drugs without it having any impact on him, my character or the story I was finally done. No wait, I had police spawn directly in front of me. That's when I rage quit and uninstalled. What a masterpiece! Masterpiece of crap.
Better yourself.
Just kidding, every generation has its fair amount of cringe and cheese, the problem is that every generation is too stupid to see they are the cringe of future generations, therefore they really have no right to criticize the style of another era.
1985: 80's are cool!
1995-2015: 80's are so lame and cringy!
2020: 80's were the coolest years ever!!!!
The only thing I don't understand is why they call doctor's "ripperdocs" instead of doctor, or even just... Docs... I get that 'ripper' probably implies work with implants, but it just feels like you're adding a word onto a shorthand version of another word that ends up being more syllables than the original word.
