However reinforced tendons have more uses as the double jump allows you fall from a great height and cushion the fall with a well timed double jump. It also allows you to change the direction of the momentum mid-jump.
Both are quite useful. I hope that later mods combine the functionality of both mods.
I like the high jump one much more to reach new areas. The double jump seems like it would be better in theory, but in practice I haven't found it very useful. It doesn't seem responsive enough to always avoid fall damage.
Scratch that.
The epic version can't be charged, but allows you to hover, which is extremely useful. You don't jump as high, but you can jump much further horizontally (even more than with the double jump of reinforced tendons). It also gives you the advantage of reinforced tendons to be able to cushion a fall. Once I took them, I never looked back.
- Double jump (rare/uncommon?, reinforced tendons)
- Charge jump (rare/uncommon?, fortified ankles)
- Hover jump (epic, fortified ankles)
All three of these replace your legs. As far as I know, these are the only three options you have. You have to buy them from ripper docs. The Hover jump you can only get from Fingers (and only if you don't punch him).
Shoot, ya, I forgot about the Lynx paws. So 4 options.
Reinforced tendons on the other hand have a shorter jump, BUT you gain horizontal mobility.
I tried both and preferred the latter, because even though you might lose a bit of jump height, you gain tremendous maneuverability... but that's my preference!
