Solution to the "Grainy" graphics (even after disabling Film Grain)
If you are finding a grainy or noisy appearance to the graphics after turning off Film Grain, turn Screen Space Reflections to "Off". It completely removes the noise. Supposedly Psycho for SSR will also remove the noise and keep the benefits of SSR but also kills fps for most, so for now, just turn SSR off.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ THANK YOU! i was struggling to figure out why the game looked so grainy and why moving objects/npcs had this weird grainy afterimage/aura around them. disabling SSR (or setting to psycho if your build can handle it) was the solution!

Yeah SSR adds grains which are worst at low and less noticable (but still are) at psycho.
OFF means very flat colors and visuals with no life though. It's really a step back.

OFF looks so bad and removes so much from this game. Ultra and a slight sharpen filter looks great TBH

That's why I said you lose some in regards to reflections, but if the grainy appearance bothers you, this is the solution. The majority of people don't have the graphical prowess to run this game at a stable framerate with SSR at Ultra and above. If you can then you likely didn't even need to consider this as a solution...

Thanks for the tip man. So sad SSR makes the game look washed out, even with Nvidia's sharpness filter applied, and "Psycho" is just too demanding fps-wise, even for my 3080.
At least the nasty grain is gone, couldn't figure out why tf it looked like that.

Thanks for this! I was playing on Ultra with OK fps and even then it looked awful, fuzzy grain popping in and shifting around, creating after-images. Now that I've turned it off my FPS has gone way up and I can crank up most of the other settings.

But people want plastic and shine... not realism..............
I can understand talking off the other options (I do that with every game) but SSR, that makes no sense to me.

No...but yes. DLSS also adds noticeable grains.
