And in fact, only one part of it works. There is an option for breast size but it doesn't matter what you set it to, because as soon as you wear ANY clothing whatsoever it automatically reduces the breast size of the character to the minimum size, even if it's something that doesn't cover the breasts at all. I'm not sure if this is intentional or just laziness on the part of the developers where they didn't want to model outfits to fit all three sizes, but the tech to do this is already out there.
Both Skyrim and Fallout 4 have fan made mods called Bodyslide that can adjust clothing to fit any character proportions on the fly, and these were FAN made mods. The fact that a AAA title that has been released in 2020 can't even do this with only THREE preset breast sizes is ridiculous.
On top of that, if you do decide to not wear pants on your character, they will show up as fully nude in the inventory screen, but once you get in-world they will be forced into a pair of underwear. I don't even know why this was even made a thing. Obviously it's not for censorship reasons because there's already plenty of nudity in the game, so why they chose to make it this way is completely baffling to me.
The fact that they cited it's fully FPP (Which I don't particularly like, but can deal with) for 'immersion', and how much they like to talk about immersion, magically changing breast sizes and magically appearing underwear seem like real immersion breakers to me.
CDPR: IF YOU'RE GOING TO ALLOW US TO CUSTOMIZE A CHARACTER, CAN YOU AT LEAST NOT REMOVE THOSE CUSTOMIZATIONS THE MOMENT WE GET IN TO THE GAME PLEASE?
Thanks.
For 100 Shmeckles you can change your appearance in multiplayer, worth $4.99
They will probably rush it too, like an early access version of an online multiplayer game. Probably next year.
