Hair looks terrible - just me?

I've searched for others experiencing this but seems oddly quiet for the level of awfulness that I'm experiencing.

The hair in this game just looks so bad, like there is some kind of static fuzz around it. I have an AMD card with latest drivers (Vega 56) so wondering if it's an AMD issue or what? It looks particularly bad when looking in the mirror.

No my hair looks ugly too and i have a RTX card.
Looking into the mirror allways makes me spill out my coffee.

Yea it does look wierd, doesn't look natural, like it's just fuzz slapped on there. There's been a few games like that recently. AC Valhalla had it

That's thanks to the TAA the game uses, it makes hair look terrible and lighting look splotchy

for some reason this only seems to apply to the player
also my hair's lightning is always off
other npc's hair looks nice

Yeah, agreed and why chatacter looks blurry in character creation screen?

Yeah looks like crap and the color choices are really bad, there is not even option for blonde or white hair, just some terrible stuff that 70 year old ladies wear.

What confused me the most is how 3D hair model color often has nothing to do with its 2D icon.
