Back to the mirror - I thought it seemed odd too, we aren’t in the 90s anymore and most games have reflections.
The entire world is lacking reflection in general, water, shiny surfaces and feels like it was one of those decisions where they couldn’t be bothered.
There are tricks to make sure the surfaces aren’t reflecting the “live” world but instead a “static” reflection, that’s better than nothing.
Before anyone starts jumping to their defence there are open world games that came out this year, hell there are games that came out 5 or 10 years ago that have reflections. I’d even lay money that within 6 months someone would have made a mod.
With regards to mirrors I also agree, there are interiors where a mirror would work, it’s down to level design, you obviously don’t want to have the entire world in the background of the mirror but on the other hand I can look out the window and render the city so it’s already there....
