How does the electical box / fusebox work?

Alright so I found three of these things. The first two, I couldn't really see what the scan was showing them as connected to, so I just did the "Override" command but couldn't tell what it changed.

This third one I was more careful.

I checked what it was hooked up to, looks like fire sprinklers in the next room.

So here we go I do the override thingy.

But literally nothing happened after that. Idk if there's something I'm not understanding about this or the feature is just broken completely.

I think you're thinking of the hacking minigame. These electrical boxes are a different thing, there's no minigame. You just press a button to "override" and V opens the box and rearranges some cables in an animation and that's it.

When you analyze the box it has data lines coming out and connecting it to other things in the area, so I understand there's supposed to be some connection there, but so far I've overriden three of them and as far as I can tell nothing happens.

I've asked this question here, on reddit, and on the 2077 discord. No answer. I'm pretty sure these do absolutely nothing.

iam not sure if they would restore all your ram instantly or not

As far as I can tell they're used to bypass certain security features without the need to hack them, but yes, they seem pretty pointless

In one of the forums, someone said that these fuses boxes disable all cameras in an area.

I havent verified this yet. Sounds plausible.
