Graphics Card Temperature
My good old GTX 1060 6GB is doing pretty fine, but my card reaches 82°C when V's cruising the streets of Night City during daylight.

Is everything all right or could my card get into trouble soon?

Lower is better but anything under 85c is safe.

ok thanks

... should I clean up the dust inside my desktop or is that unnecessary?

Thats pretty hot for a gpu, but will most likely turn off before any damage is done. I also have a 1060 6gb and am not getting anywhere near these temperatures, you should check the fan for cleanliness and make sure your computer is well ventilated

Good airflow helps yes. Clean the dust, tie up your internal cables and remove any clutter.

High settings, with minor adjustments like "Cascaded Shadows" Off

You really should do that at least tri-monthly. try get a straw and blow through it and see how much dust comes from nooks and crannies in your pc. keep a vacuum cleaner ready to take up the freed dust.

That's pretty high, anything above 85 will be a problem

I keep a spray bottle filled with distilled water and spritz the vid card down every once in a while.

Try dail certain detail things down to medium. turn off horrid chromatic abberation and film grain. ya know ,the micro-detail improvements that usually swallow a lot of CPU-usage.

Sounds awesome... is it necessary to shut the system down before using water?
Got a RTX 2070 and it also between 70-80 °C
