screen space reflections OFF, helped with frames.
after turning off screen space reflection my game does look way cleaner.
no more grainy mess, it also runs way more smooth.

i tried many things that got recommended: cascade shadows resolution etc.
but nothing game me a boost like turning off screen space.

yes reflections are nice to have, but atm in cyberpunk it makes the game look worse.
so if you dont have a DLSS able card like me, you can try this.

my specs :

AMD 5700xt pulse
Intel 6600k@4.0ghz
16gb ram
samsung 970evo
native 3840x1600 resolution

before i had ~34 with sometimes below 30, now its 45-50fps nearly stable.
sometimes it drops to 36 frames for a second during intense fog action.
its been 4h since i did this.

everything else is standard high settings with film grain, DoF, chromatic aberration and motion blur off because they make it also look worse.

hope this helpes.

happy to hear

Thanks for the tip. Seems like an issue with a lot of games lately. Either the reflections kill framerate or they look weird when your character walks in front of them.

Game looks way better with them off too.

Gonna give this a whirl. Thank you for the tip.

Yes you can play the game with SSR off, Ambient Occlusion off and Clouds off. The game will run well but look like trash.

Sorta makes sense if it's a 1st gen feature.

I gained 8fps by disabling. Thank you.

yes that is true.
but it wont change the fact that the setting is busted.
if you cant use dlss, SSR makes the game look "worse" and RUN "worse"
you cant even enjoy the reflections because everything is grainy and pixelated.

take your comments to /pcmasterrace unless you help people.

Turning off Film Grain and Chromatic Aberration will remove the blurriness of the game. Take your arrogance somewhere else.

i never meantioned blur?

i am talking about extreme grain, that i had no matter the resolution, maybe its not visible if you use a ton of post processing effects, but many people dislike those effects.

disabling SSR makes the game look cleaner.
yes the reflections are off, but the payoff is worth it in my opinion, especially atm when there is no real fix or workaround to make this game run smoother.

i dont even understand why youre posting here.
you read the topic, it clearly says SSR off for FPS.

you talking about the game looking ♥♥♥♥ is not helping anyone.

its obvious that turning off effects will diminish the visual spectacle. but i try to help people with
performance here.

I would at least set ssr to medium. Also lowering fog and ambient occlusion will give you a boost.
LordDeimosIV Dec 10, 2020 @ 9:53pm
Grainy and pixelated. That's what you said and that's from the two options I mentioned.
tayph00n_台風 Dec 10, 2020 @ 10:03pm
@jas setting ssr from low to ultra, didnt change the grain issue at all. all the edges look really pixelated. especially around the ssr objects. i tried it even with restarting the game. maybe its a gpu problem? the amd drivers are busted like always after all.

@lorddeimos sorry if i misinterpreted your post.

this game is currently driving me mad with its performace, im systematically turning stuff off and on, with and without restarts. i havent tried tweaking the INI directly yet. there are some individual settings hidden there.
