Is a i7 8700K to weak?

Running on 4k ,all medium with a 3080 and almost never hitting 60 Fps, Taskmanager/MSi Afterburner shows me that the GPU Usage is around 40-50%.. I tought the CPU shouldnt be that big of a problem or is it the game?

I don't think it's the cpu, I get the same performance at 1080 with a 4790k and a 1070. Usually higher resolution of more load on the GPU with barely any cpu impact, and your 8700k is much stronger than 4790k.

Hopefully some patches improve things.

Unless the CPU is ancient it wont be the Bottleneck for this Game.

Did you turn on DLSS ? no issue to have a consistent 60fps on 4K upscaled from 1440p, everything on ultra and ray tracing. Old CPU ( i5-4670 ) and RTX 3070.
