Same. I use 1440p in Windows and when I set 1080p in game I can't make it full screen. I just have this 1080p window in huge black frame that is 1440p.

Right now if I want to play on "full screen" I am forced to use 1440p and windowed mode, other resolutions or using full screen just don't fit to my monitor.

Same problem here (I have a GOG copy, btw), it doesn't even give me the Fullscreen option; only Borderless and Windowed available, which is bad as it doesn't let me use DLSS.

I also have GOG version and I have this full screen option, but it always gives me this black frame. Only windowed is without the frame. I have no idea why some people have full screen option and some don't. Right now I just wait for a fix I guess. I have Nvidia 1050ti card and it's too weak for 1440p. On medium/low settings I have around 20 fps and I have no way to play other resolution right now.

I have a 2060 (normal, not super) and the game plays OK-ish around 55fps on Borderless Window, and haven't had any crashes since the one right after installation (which was because I forgot to update my GPU drivers). Still, the fact it runs on Win7, and runs pretty well is a miracle on its own.

Great news guys!
Problem solved guys just update your nvidia driver to the latest!!! you can download the "Geforce experience" app for your computer and it will give it to you by default!

I already updated drivers. I even used settings suggested by Geforce Experience. It didn't solve the issue for me.

OK, I tried that too, and it doesn't work. Even when I Optimize, the game undoes both the Full Screen and the DSLL options that the Geforce Experience adds it.

Are you on Win7 too?

Had the same problem and solved by finding the NVIDIA update who is recommended for Cyberpunk in the internet and starting the game from GeForce experience (dont know if that second part is necessary)

I am on Windows 10. I was looking for some solution on the Internet and it seems that the problem with missing full screen option in menu is only in Windows 7. I have this option to select in Win10.
Anyway, I think I will just wait for some patches. It looks like this game is a buggy mess at this moment. I played for 30 minutes and I saw more glitches than I usually see in whole games.

Weirdly enough, been playing pretty OK with me. Sure, FPS dips into 50s here and there (mostly when driving), but no crashes or floaty weapons, or weird stuff.

Same problem here, with the Nvidia driver.

Fullscreen is not real fullscreen, it doesn't change the actual screen resolution, it just renders to the selected resolution and then stretches to the max one.

That means we use the game scaling, which is terrible, and we can't select resolutions that have different frame rates.

So the problem is only on windows 7 I guess. I'm on it too and no fullscreen option to be set in settings.

Guys you can completely fix this issue. I had the same thing. I changed some graphics settings then couldn’t run it in full screen again. Here’s a YouTube tutorial on how to do it. Give this guy a like and subscribe too as he’s really helpful with gaming issues.

Ok, I didn't find a fix, but I have a workaround that maybe will help to identify what is the nature of this issue.
I am using Win10 on laptop and external monitor. When I have "Second monitor only" setting, the full screen doesn't work properly and it looks like on image I posted before.
However when I use "Extend" option for dual monitors and launch CP2077 on the external monitor, then the full screen acts like it should and I have true full screen in all resolutions.
