Specs similar to yours: 6600k/ 1070/ 40-50 fps in 1080p on ultra maxed (not with ray tracing obv).

Agree i won't be lower my quality, that is the dumbest thing i ever heard some suggest. The proper suggestion is for the devs to fix it.
Can confirm, audio popping seems resolved with 24bit / 9.6 khz.
If the source is 48000 Hz or 96000 Hz, upsampling to 196000 Hz is like upscaling a 1080p render to a 1440p display. With 192000 Hz you can get loss in audio quality that is masked undearneath the upsampling procedure.
