Cant open shard menu

Just got the shard from the militech rep and can't find the shard menu in the journal tab to decrypt it, am i just dumb?

The game seems unfinished, and frankly, I would've been ok with another delay.

After the first mission, I had to wait until 6pm for the strip club to open so I could continue the main quest, so I decided to do one of the side quests near me. For whatever reason, the game highlights a quest TWENTY LEVELS ABOVE my current level but strangely enough I was able to complete it. I now have weapons TWENTY LEVELS ABOVE my current level that I cannot use until I reach level 22.

I don't understand anything that's going on. There is no context to anything that happens. It looks good, the graphics are pretty, but nothing makes any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense.

CDPR please finish your game before releasing it.

I figured it out, in the root menu you need to hover over the journal button, from there a weird drop down will appear and then you can choose shards

Go to the 1 min mark if it doesn't start there for you. I was in the wrong journal menu.

This is really NOT obvious and I was overthinking it. I spent an hour pouring over videos and useless information from Reddit. For the PC, just press whatever your keymap is for "Open Main Menu". This is the MAIN menu where you can select Crafting / Inventory / Map / Character / Journal / Database. Mouseover the Journal selection and the sub-selections will be Messages/Journal/Shards/Tarot. Select Shards. Scroll down to Other and find the MILITECH DATASHARD entry and go from there. Do NOT select the Inventory tab, do NOT attempt to find this menu from your Stash or Backpack like I did.

In v2 mouse over does NOT work. You need to RMB click the journal menu then the sub menus appear.
