You have to enable it in Windows first.

Even enabling in widows it still does not activate when booting cyberpunk 2077, but it does allow you to toggle the settings without any changes in picture settings. No HDR enabled notification comes from the tv between switching hdr10, srgb hrd10, and off. I am playing on a c9 with an rtx 2070. This tells me it is broken at the moment

Honestly your not missing anything.. the hdr is not that great honestly from what I've seen. I'll admit I have yet to fine tweek it. I never get "true" blacks with hdr on.. ever. Only with it off. Contrast is wayyy better with it off as well. Thats just what I've seen this far.

If you play in fullscreen you should be able to toggle it on without having to enable it in Windows.

same problem here. It wont let me turn on the HDR in the game menu and when I turn on the HDR in windows none of the ingame HDR options seem to change anything.

For me, HDR only works if I activate it in Windows before. A well-programmed game should be able to activate it in the exclusive full screen without Windows functionality. Cyberpunk doesn't do it, at least not for me.

If you have Nvidia try running it in ycbr4:2:2 and 12 bit and try enabling HDR in windows settings and hopefully it should work for HDMI 2.0, unless you have 2.0b I don't beleive it has enough bandwidth to do RGB HDR 4k (I could be wrong) but yeah as if now it's broken and looks like it's just SDR converted to HDR so everything's washed out.

I can enable hdr in destiny 2 and there it works. I have it disabled in windows though. In cyberpunk I play in full screen, but I can’t enable hdr. Heared that the hdr is pretty bad so didn’t put any effort in getting it enabled in cyberpunk. But it’s another one on the buglist.

I connected the GPU with DisplayPort, in AMD settings i have 10bit and RGB, and in Windows 10 HDR setting enabled and it is showing in the game.

Yes I do think too my game looks decent enough without it enabled
Pretty bright.

I have Samsung U28R550 and have the same problem. But does not bother me that much since it looks pretty either way.

going to throw in as well that hdr REQUIRES minimum 10bit for hdr10 and 12bit for dolby hdr set as the display bit depth.

Make sure you have that properly set up in display settings.
I've got a BX LG and only thing I can think of is have you updated the TV? Because mine works perfectly, though I don't think this game is true HDR as it doesn't give you full range and blacks are not deep enough.
