CyberPunk 2077 wont complete download stuck at 57GB with 3GB to go
I had it preloaded but suddenly now it says it needs to download additional data but there is no download activity. Anyone else having this issue?

Same here. Stopped and restarted. Restarted Steam. Nothing.

I'm having the same issue. I really want to play so if anyone finds out a way to get around this or if they fix it, I'd appreciate it.

The game decrypts first before it downloads the last bit of data. If you installed it on a normal HDD you will be waiting for some time until the process is done. It took around 15min on an m2 ssd for me.

I had that happen for a short time, it had paused while it was doing installations and then resumed download later. It seemed to resolve on its own just by giving it some time. Does your disk usage show any activity?

Check your disk usage
It's just being unpacked (might take a while). Unfortunately just have to wait.
That's what happened for me (I also had it preloaded) and it worked.

Mine was stuck at 57.4GB for 45 mins, but then I tried to uninstal and reinstall, that fixed it.

Yeh if you have high speed internet, but choose to install it on a HDD preloading is pointless these days as decrypting it on a HDD will take longer than just downloading the launch version on release day (encryption free).

Same here. Wish I knew it would take longer to decrypt than download. I had a feeling "predownloading" would be a potential issue or waste of time. But I heard that you might get a special preview or screen before you were able to play.

Don´t restart, when it´s at 57. The game needed 30min for me to unpack everything. On my friends pc even 50min.

Remove the PRE-ORDER DLC CHECXKBOX restart steam and wait a couple of minutes. Download resumes and also unpacking takes a while.

I can confirm that it does take 45mins to decrypt. I have a WD Black Drive. Then it downloads about 3GB which took like under a minute 30 seconds for me.

Same here...
It is not a decrypt problem, I disabled the DLC download for letting the game unpack, but I think that doing this you will play without the day one update...

Unpacking it is part of the decryption process. Preloads are always locked to a decryption key until launch day. Once a game actually is officially launched anyone downloading then no longer has to even bother having it unpacked. It's been like this for years. Nothing new. In fact anyone with a high speed connection would be done quicker just straight up downloading on launch and skipping preload all together even with an SSD install. Theoretically installing a preload onto an SSD can even shorten the lifespan of said SSD as it has limited write cycles. Granted its a pretty big write cycle but if preloads are constantly written onto it and unpacked it will eventually take its toll.

Download still stuck but I was abble to launch it manually from steamapps/downloading/[number]/REDprelauncher.exe.
There is some kind of problem with steam not able to complete the install process of this game.
Now Im reinstalling becouse I dont want to stay like this.
