Keyboard and mouse feels... weird
Aiming with mouse feels difficult, like it isn't accurate to how I am moving my mouse. Driving is also incredibly difficult on keyboard. Is anyone else having these issues?

if anyone finds a way to mod the game to force raw input and disable all fps dependent smoothing let me know. id rather notice the choppy frames than delay any inputs

driving with a keyboard is wonky in a lot of games. not all but most. just got to learn to adapt by tapping

Found the fix. You go to controls, scroll to the bottom and change Controller response curve to Raw.
This fixed it for me although I also turned all ramp up times and acceleration things down to zero to be safe, mouse acts normally now
That'll be frame rate I assume. When my framerate is stable 60+ there is no smoothing or delay at all, but the moment it goes below 60 it starts to feel worse(though not as bad as before I changed the setting)

I tried with both keyboard and game controller, but neither felt very intuitive. I might stick with game controller since holding Tab and F at the same time to do hacking is very awkward with my small hands. And yeah, driving is terrible with the keyboard, there doesn't seem to be a middle ground between going straight and sudden turns.

Not sure if you've tried but Caps-Lock is set to toggle hacking in addition to Tab for hold. I much prefer the toggle.

The aiming should feel weird in the beginning, you have to level up your character's stats so they get good at shooting. At least that's what I heard from one of the reviews. The driving just isn't that great.

They mean that the mouse movement is smoothed and feels bad, it's because it's linked to framerate and a controller option that affects mouse aiming for some reason.

Controls->First Person Controls->Advanced Options On

Turn all the Turning Bonus, Ramp Up Time etc down to 0.

It vastly improved it for me.

Feels like it's intended to be played with a gamepad. Though it's counter intuitive, I'd prefer to play a first person type game with mouse and keyboard. Though yet the driving is so much nicer with the gamepad. And the mouse aiming does have an odd feeling, as it doesn't seem to move 1:1 with the mouse.

This is called mouse smoothing. Disabling any kind of mouse setting in game won't fix the atrocious smoothing that they force you to live with. I literally can't shoot anything in game because it's so bad.

This is so true, it's so frustrating. I can't believe developers still release games in 2020 with smoothing/acceleration/split sensitivity. It's just baffling that this terrible trend still exists to this day. Hasn't the PC gaming community made it known at this point that these features suck and devs need to stop including them??

It's called Mouse Acceleration and game companies have been putting this into their games for years. It is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage, because if I move my mouse 1" on the mouse pad, I want it to move the same distance on the screen every time, no matter what speed I move my mouse. You can't train your brain to use mouse acceleration easily, because if you move really fast for a centimeter, it could send the cursor across the entire screen. If you move it slow, however, for a centimeter, it will only move a very small amount. This is counterintuitive to people who play games with mouse and keyboard. They really need to fix this, or at least allow us to disable it. It has been a pain in the ass for years in many games. Usually you had to go dig through .ini files or .cfg files to disable this ♥♥♥♥. It is utter garbage. On top of this, I can't get the game to go into 4K mode, even though my desktop and my monitor are already in 4K. So, I am confused about this game. Maybe refund and buy later for a discount when some of this is fixed.

IMPORTANT <<< If you want to remove the mouse smoothness turn ON in graphic settings >>> Dynamic FidelityFX CAS <<< adjust the two sliders for minimum and maximum resolution until you are ok with how the mouse feels. The mouse smoothing is because of poor performance issues.

I would just like to add to the discussion and say its _definitely_ not a 'performance issue' thing.. theres a notable input delay caused by forced mouse smoothing / mouse accel and its ruining the game for me... I don't think I'll play it until its addressed... I just don't understand how a game of this scale and hype and seemingly meant to be run on PCs would force such an atrocious feature

Yeah I have the same issue. The input correction to "raw" that people is talking here is for gamepad only AFAIK.

Also I coincide with you. If you find any solution please let me know. I will do the same.

For both of you I think it is drivers issue aswell (and forced mouse accel).

FPS doesnt only affect your gameplay, FRAMETIMES count too. If your PC is low or midrange, it physically takes more milliseconds to render frames, causing a super delayed and annoyying experience, regardless if you get 60fps.
