Its because your pc cant handle the open world section, this usually happens if you are playing on your mums tablet

I verifyed game files, updated GPU driver, restarted my rig 5-6 times downloaded GOG galaxy 2.0 launcher and now it seems to be running again cuz it didnt crash right off the bat anymore.

Looks like that worked for was able to play fine few hours then went to sleep

updated drivers, set all to low (even if my pc can handle higher settings), files verify but nothing, it still crashes after first dialogue at the very same point. I think I'll ask my money back.

Same here, I've disabled every software i have to rule out an issue with background software.

POSSIBLE FIX: It happened to me with a 2060. After character creation, it crashed. Then, as soon as I hit play, it crashed again. Fixed it editing the configuration file located at:

C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077\UserSettings.json

Edited the "group_name" = "/graphics/raytracing" modifying the following option:

{
"name": "RayTracing",
"type": "bool",
"value": true,
"default_value": false
}

To look like:

{
"name": "RayTracing",
"type": "bool",
"value": false,
"default_value": false
}

(basically, I edited the "value" to be false instead of true, disabling ray tracing)

Saved the file and hit play again. Now it works without problems so far.

Try resetting your graphics settings to default. I set mine to the lowest to make sure it ran and ran into this issue. But after setting it back to defaults (Medium high for my pc) it ran fine.
-using GOG
