Steam Countdown release time is wrong. it off by 2hrs
Steam has the countdown releasing the game at 9 pm est. time, but time real release time is at 7 pm est. time zone. I live in that time zone. the countdown on steam is off by 2 HRS. its 430 am est. now. The countdown said 14:30 hrs to go. do the math that 9 pm est. not 7 pm est.

Literally the whole world gets the game in 14.5 hours. Doesn't matter what time it is. This is how timezones for a universal release work. I repeat : it does not matter the time, everyone gets it at the same moment.

Does suck to be in Europe. Or at least the part I live in. The game comes out here at 1 AM :(

It does seem off. Midnight release here in the UK, but Steam clock would make it 2am. Either way though I'll be sleeping.

Yea same here, just go to sleep and play it tomorrow. I'm staying up to start the patch / unpacking at 1am and ill see if it's short enough to spend an hour making my character etc.

shows the right time here (canada, MST) could be a caching issue or just the usual tuesday maintence issues

The OP can't count, it shows the same countdown for everyone in the whole world, like I said it doesn't matter what time it is, the game releases in 14h 20m

For example 4:30am EST right now + 12 hours = 4:30pm. We have 2.5 hours left over. 4:30pm + 2.5 = 7pm, exactly what it is supposed to be.

didn't bother reading the whole thread, just posted the usual boilerplate response I do for steam releases when the counter is wrong XD (it happens, far too often)

the Cyberpunk 2077 web page said the release time is 7 pm EST., 4 pm PST., 12 am GMT. but Steams countdown has it at 9 pm EST, 6 pm PST, 2 am GMT and so on. It could be that someone started the countdown wrong and every went with it, but it is still wrong.

He is right though! I live in GMT so it's a midnight release here, but in 14 hours it'll be 2am. The countdown, at least where I am, is off by two hours.
