Collector's edition question

So we all know that the collector's edition comes with a gog key, but is there anything about that key being a base game key, or a fancy collectors edition thing where you get extra stuff you normally wouldn't get? Are there going to be additional collector's edition serials in there that I wont be able to redeem because the steam version of the game is structurally different than the collector's edition one. As far as I know, every digital goodies I get everyone else gets with the base game on all platforms.

I like the gog platform but I prefer Steam since all my games, screenshots and friends are here. What I would want to do is -IF the game itself is going to be the exact same in both the collector's box and here on Steam- buy the game on Steam so that way I can preload and play as soon as it's released, which is at a ridiculous 1am for us Hungarian folks.


So in short tldr: Bought collectors edition that comes with gog based game code - want my key on steam - collectors edition game key is same as this one? - are there any collector's edition only digital goodies?

The game is the same no matter which version is purchased. the digital content is the same no matter which version is bought.

Collector edition gets a GOG code. You don't get a steam code.

you would have to buy the steam version seperately to get it on steam.

Yes that's what I'm talking about, I don't expect my gog code to be turned into a Steam code. What I don't know is apart from the listed digital stuff on the site (which again is given to EVERYONE, regardless of platform), will there be any other collector's edition ONLY digital stuff that I won't be able to redeem with my Steam version of the game?

The only reason I'm hesitant to buy an extra copy here is because I'm afraid that when I open the collector's box, there are either going to be keys in there that I would need to redeem because those will obviously not work with a steam key, or if the key itself is actually a collectors edition key that is coming with some extra stuff only collectors edition people get. Latter is highly unlikely but I haven't found anything concrete on these things.

There doesn't seem to be any additional in game bonuses specifically for the collector's edition. Not even the official CP website lists any.
