It depends on where you're from. People from Quebec and the Maritimes tend to be pro-maple, while people from Manitoba and parts of Ontario like oak. Things out west are a bit more complicated. British Columbians have their own spruce vs. pine debate, with those living on the Lower Mainland being pro-spruce.
