DEV REQUEST: Profanity Filter please
In the good old days of gaming, when games MIGHT add the (always) unnecessary profanity and nudity to a game, there was an option to turn it on that was defaulted off. So immature kiddies could go and turn it on if they wanted to get cheap thrills, but mature gamers (M rating is for iMmature) could leave it off and play the game. Mature themes are one thing... but incessant profanity in dialog and background is just stupid.

So like Gears of War IV did, please bring back this very easy to implement filter. Even default it to off if you like. Just allow adult gamers the ability to turn off that nonsense by setting the filter to ON.

Whiny crybabies will now reply as usual. But it's a great idea that doesn't hurt them at all to implement. And opens up your game to a wider, more mature audience.

Your mistake is in thinking it's unnecessary. Do you even know what the setting is about?
Either way, you might want to think about not starting a conversation by calling your interlocutors crybabies in advance. Otherwise you risk coming off as infantile as... well, as you do now.

I actually agree, BUT it HAS to be an option.

Lol thats so extremely unnecessary. People curse. Its normal, theres nothing wrong with it, and studies show that more intelligent people tend to do it more often anyways. Grow up.

I'm all for Profanity/Gore "Filters", as long as they can be toggled ON/OFF...
One thing tho, are you saying that mature gamers can't handle mature content and therefor need filters to play games? Or am I reading you wrong? :lunar2019crylaughingpig:

Off as default, I see nothing wrong with filters, as they're made for teenagers and children.

Adults wanting filters are children all the same.

He's saying that mature gamers rally don't have to bathe themselves in "bad" stuff like this.
Because they are mature, they should have a choice on whether to experience the "bad" stuff or not.

>calling words bad. lol. Come on man. Assigning morality to words makes zero logical sense.

The RPG and gameplay mechanics (and the writing) make the game great, that has nothing to do with the quality of the game.
