Any benefit to Pre-Order?

Yeah there is no pre-order bonus things etc, what is awesome. Only reason to do pre-order is to help out cd project red.. I have stopped with pre-order games but in this case i made a exception as this company is so damn good.

I got a feeling that worst case scenario it will not be a game of the year but just a good game so its pretty safe bet to buy :D

I can't think of another time where a game had so much going for it.

If you preorder from GOG before June 17th, you get a one-time 30% discount code on the official CDPR merchandise store. If you're in the EU, the code expires on the 30th; if in the US or Canada, the merchandise store isn't even open yet so you wait until it's available in the US. Of course, this is completely irrelevant if you're not interested in buying CDPR physical merchandise -- mostly T-shirts, AFAICT. In either case, the code excludes figurines and anything on sale, so you won't be getting 30% off the 219 Euro figurine of Geralt as a Ronin (not joking, this is a thing).

AFAIK, that's the only preorder bonus. Given that it's from CDPR, there will be no preorder bonuses that actually matter in-game, and currently there aren't discounts on the game itself. As they put it, feel free to preorder, or feel free to wait.

This is why I haven't preordered yet. There is no real rewason to do so until they make it worthwhile.

Total War 2 Kingdoms recently released with a free DLC for preorders which I did immediately. We need more of that sort of thing.

The reason people "whine" about day 1 DLC, is they are literately stripping part of the game out, and making you either pre-order to get it(which news flash, if you don't pre-order, bam, now you NEVER get that content that was cut from the game), or you have to pay full retail price of the game, plus pay even more for content they cut from the game just so they could make even more money.

It is scummy, we all know these are companies, and they are here to make money, but when resorting to that crap, no one should be ok with it.
Yet now because they have been getting away with it for so long, and even more, now people are even asking to have content cut from their games?

My advice, just don't pre-order, because there is "no reason to"....wait, did I just take the bait? well too late I am hitting post!

Exactly. I doubt it is an awful and broken game. Worst case, ok-ish. Which is ok, since Witcher has gave me much already. And i won’t feel cheated in my money.
