Weapons have no muzzle flash?
It seems crazy to me that there's no effect and no lighting from any of the weapons when you fire them. Was that how it was 20+ years ago?

Edit: rckrz6 reminded me what the word was. Getting old is hard.

the only weapon with a "light source" was the flare gun if i remember correctly.

Excessive muzzle flashes aren't even realistic when there's a muzzle brake on the gun and most RL guns have that.

Watch less Hollywood action movies.

Funny argument because we're talking about a game which set in an alien planet as you play as a soldier participating in a counterattack against the inhabitants who devastated Earth several years ago...
