Guardians of the Galaxy no longer Steam Verified

I'm frustrated because I bought this game a few months ago when it was Steam Verified and now it's listed as Unsupported. Sure, I had to turn everything down to the lowest settings possible as it just couldn't seem to run the cutscenes without crashing but I thought the game was really good but now that I'm on Chapter 12, it feels like it's running at 1fps and I cannot get out of the ship for the life of me.
I don't have a PC so is that it for me with this game now? Has anyone found a workaround or is the game dead on the Steam Deck now?

I had the 1fps issue already at the very first cutscene, but going into the steam deck game performance settings in the right side menu, enabling manual performance profile and setting a frame limit to 30fps seemed to solve it for me. Perhaps I'll run in to the same issue later.

dead rising 3 plays great on the steam deck and its not verified, so thats not entirely true.

probably the factors that go into it is if the game runs well, looks good, the game itself getting a steam deck graphics preset, anticheat doesnt conflict with the deck's configuration, and the devs seeking verified approval that their game works on deck.
