D3D12 adapter?
Hey so I've been having this issue where every time I start the game it crashes and bring up a window message saying there was no suitable D3D12 adapter found. What does this mean? I googled it but everything I see are some kind of adapters to download and I just don't know if I should download something or if it's just the game or if has something to do with my PC LOL

Either your graphics card doesn't support DX12 or you need to update your graphics card drivers.

This is the correct answer.

If updating the drivers does not help, then your GPU is too old for the game and you need a newer GPU. For Guardians of the Galaxy, I do not recommend any less memory on the GPU than 6GB.

Hi!
I know it's an old post, but I don't want to start another.
I have Nvidia gt 1030. It actually supports dx 12 and I've seen the game launched on that one somewhere on YT.
Yet I still get that error. Any hints?

Easy, your card does not meet the minimum requirements...
Yo dudes you all finally got the answer after 1-2 years, just enter task manager, end task GOTG, and then if anyone owns the game on epic games, you would simply need to enable launch options and type on it -sharedvram and that should work
Keep in mind, enable launch options and type -sharedvram
"-sharedvram"

does -sharedvram give it access to my shared vram or does it convert the minimal amount of shared vram into usable vram
